What are the retainers following 6 month smiles like?

Dear Rob Tennet, I would like to enquire about retainers that are worn after 6months smile, I was advised that a retainer should be worn every night for life, my query is on average how long does a normal retainer (that looks similar to Invisalign) last for until you need a replacement, and how much does a replacement on average cost? Is dentist price for removing four teeth and dentures reasonable?

I HAVE BEEN GIVEN A PRICE OF £8000-£12000 FOR 3 IMPLANTS TO BE ATTACHED TO A FULL BOTTOM DENTURE WITH GOLD WIRE .AS WELL AS TAKING OUT 4 TEETH AND MAKING A BOTTOM DENTURE TO TIDE ME OVER (SO I DONT HAVE GAPS.)DO YOU THINK THIS A FAIR PRICE ? Can I get dentures or bridges on the NHS for missing adult teeth?

Dear Mr Tennet, I am a 20 year old female with a genetic trait which has left me with four milk teeth for which there are no adult replacements. All are matching molars- two in each jaw and at opposite sides. I have lost one already and am due to lost two more as my gums have receded too far. My sister is the same, however she lost hers when she was young and so the other teeth drifted to fill in most of the gap. I have a very wide smile and so my gaps will be easily visible; I am applying for jobs at the moment and personal presentation is massively important for me, and besides the confidence issue I am worried that I will have trouble chewing. Would I be eligible for bridges on the NHS? Or even dentures? Anything at all would be a huge help. Many thanks for considering my question! Becky Archer,

Implant feels loose but is it secure?

hello am junaid 21 yr old from kashmir india. my porecelain front tooth got loosened 2nd time in one month, its crowned on an implant instead of a “broken tooth” which also came off when it was previously crowned with an acrylic crown.now i feel quite a movement on the porecelain crown including the implant it is built on. i need ur assistance on this matter. thanks.,

I would like implants but am scared of the dentist – can you help me?

As a child my front teeth stuck out and my carers were advised by professionals to remove one tooth form each side inorder for my front teeth to spread out. The braces helped however left gaps on each side. I have a bridge on my left side however I can see black/grey on top of the tooth near my gums. I have a gap on my right side which makes me feel uncomfortable. Plus one of my front tooth has discoloured and I think it my be a dead tooth.I have had bad experience with my teeth therefore very scared of going to the dentist. I would like implants but apprehensive and worried about the cost, how long it would take and the end result.Are you willing to take on a challenge? Can you help me? I am from Birmingham?,

Should I replace veneers with crowns as they keep cracking?

I am on my 5th set of veneers. I have the top front four teeth veneered. I started with NHS but they kept chipping and falling off. My dentist then talked meinto private veneers and I am still having problems with then chipping and cracking. Last night my front veneer chipped again and looks awful. My dentist has not charged me for replacing up until now and I guess he wont believe it when he get’s my call first thing Monday morning. Is it time to replace the veneers with crowns?,
