Monday, March 22nd, 2010
Q.
Hi Dr Moore, My dentist said I am clenching my teeth because I am having pain in the left side of my face ,I also have neck & shoulder pain. He suggested NIght guard which is expensive, so I bought dentek night guard I wore it for 3 days It was kind of unconfortable. Now I am feeling that my jaws are not align Not sure if its bcause of the store bought night gurad. Also I see that I am chewing my chicks from inside. So I am planning to go to the dentist to get custom made gurad ..So I just have couple of questions. Once I get the custom night guard will it take care of all the facial Pain? will my jaws go back to normal(align)? does night guard help in stopping clenching habit? Thank you,

Is there any treatment available for my gum recession?

Monday, March 22nd, 2010
Q.
Hi Dr Caplan, My gumline has been receding gradually for the past 5 years and I have been told by my dental hygienist that it is due to overbrushing (not due to gum disease). My gum recession is quite mild and does not pose any problems, but I do not like how it looks. Is there any natural remedy for my gums to grow back, e.g. any gels I can apply to my gums to stimulate regrowth? Thank you! Cheers, Amanda,

Is there any treatment available for my two worn down teeth?

Friday, March 19th, 2010
Q.
Dear Andrew, I have 2 very worn down teeth in the lower jaw at the front, I feel my jaw has lost some height and also the edges of the teeth are rough and are very uncomfortable! The dentist says any filling would come off so he won’t fill them. I am on a budget, what treatment would help?,

Lower right teeth pain, any advice?

Friday, March 19th, 2010
Q.
Hi there, I have recently been experiencing alot of pain coming from my lower right teeth, I went to dentist who said it could be exposed dentin and to use sensodene and leave it on before I go to sleep. However the tooth is now painful when I bite on it too, can this happen when dentin is exposed or is it possible this is something different? Thank-you for your time.,

Am I eligible for an inman aligner?

Friday, March 19th, 2010
Q.
Hi. When I was younger I had braces put in because my teeth were all overcrowded and they’d all overlapped. After wearing the braces they were all great. I got a bonded retainer on my lower teeth, but I didn’t wear the removable part of my retainer and the upper two front incisors overlap again, and the two teeth on either side stick out at the side. Besides these four teeth, all my teeth are in line and I was wondering if I would be eligible for an inman aligner to correct them?,
