Gum pain after my filling fell out but I have no insurance, any advice?

Q. Hi I had a filling fall out about 3 years ago it hasnt been hurting and this past summer the back of my tooth fell off but for the past few days the gum on the inside of my tooth had been sore not to painful just wondering what i should do i dont have insurance….,
A. Unfortunately pain does not always predict dental problems and sometimes teeth with a similar history to this cause large problems with no warning. I would recommend getting a proper clinical assessment of what is needed , your options and a quote. Rob

Clean the area carefully and take a painkiller that you’d normally take or see an emergency dentist ASAP

While on vacation a filling broke off quite near to a nerve, so a dentist put a seal on the base of the tooth before filling it to avoid pain. Any idea what that seal was? Thanks.,

It could have been a fur seal or a walrus, but mostly likely a lining material to protect the nerve!

Hi there! I just went to the NHS dentist cause I broke my upper left molar (about half of it is gone and the nerve is exposed…) and apparently it is completely rotten as well. She said that a filling won’t be possible cause there isn’t enough of the tooth left for the filling to stick on. I was wondering if you would be able to repair it or even replace it with a new tooth? If yes, how long would it take and how much would it cost? Also if you any pictures of the tooth would help you answer, please let me know.
