I have a fear phobia of visiting a dentist

Sunday, October 26th, 2008
Q.
Hello, I have a fear phobia of visiting a dentist, but i desperately need help. My front bottom teeth have gradually become loose and two of them totally removed. However, I am so embarrassed to seek help, I constantly fix them in place using denture fixative. I cant eat in front of people, talk or smile due to being embarrased, and suffer constant discomfort and pain. I would love to get my self confidence back and am asking for your advice, if dentures or implants would be a possibility?

i cant afford dental implants will i need dentures

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008
Q.
I am 45 and have half crowns, and half teeth in my mouth. The crowns are not in great condition and my dentist is advising implants costing over £1500, which i really don’t have, I receive family tax credit. I really loathe the thought of dentures but am terrified I am going to end up with no teeth to replace the crowns. I just don’t know what to do or where to turn. I have had three crowns that have come loose this year and been cemented again, but obviously this is a short term option. Can you advise anything I can do?? Deni

I have been going to a private dentist for 3 years

Saturday, October 11th, 2008
Q.
I have been going to a private dentist for 3 years now and i am always there having something done as she always tells me something needs doing and i trust her, she did let slip she is having a hard time financially and now i have begun to look at certain things, for example, she has done 4 fillings for me, 3 of which have needed to go to a route canals with in a year, now only 2 years on she is telling me i need to extract the two teeth that she done the route canal and crown on and have a false tooth implant, which costs a lot of money! My husband goes to her too, today he was told by her that the route canal and crown she done for him 10 months ago now needs to be extracted and false tooth put in place! I had a filing done 15 years ago that is fine and a route canal and so is the same for my husband! Something seems wrong here, all the work she has ever done on me and my husband has failed somehow, should I change dentists? or am i just unlucky?! Please help.
