Does a bridge help to prevent bone loss?

Monday, March 1st, 2010
Q.
Implants seem like a great solution to missing teeth but they are expensive and take a long time especially as I need bone grafts too. Would a bridge, say for my two front teeth slow done bone loss as much as implants?,

What would it cost to replace loose teeth?

Monday, March 1st, 2010
Q.
I need my three front teeth replacing. They were bridged several years ago but now they keep comming loose, my NHS dentist says he cannot do anymore and I should have a plate fitted. I would prefer to keep my teeth without a plate. How much would it cost, and how long does the treatment take.,

Worried about pain and bleeding after implant treatment

Friday, February 26th, 2010
Q.
my wife has had an implant fitted approx 5 months ago and is suffering occasional pain and bleeding from the implant.the bleeding only seems to occur when she is eating ryvitas and only seems to give pain at night.there is occasional pain and throbbing at other times.my wife only lightly brushes the implant. at around the same time she had teeth whitening which resulted in sensitive teeth so she was unable to tell if the pain has eased off since the implant was fitted.will the pain ease over time or will it be the same.my wife is scared off going back to the dentist at this point as she doesnt want to be portrayed as a moaner. any advise would be appreciated. thanks,

Can I get implants for missing teeth due to baby teeth?

Friday, February 26th, 2010
Q.
My dentist tells me that i have still alot of baby teeth and this is the reason why i have lost several teeth in the past due to the fact they are not as robust as adult teeth, he gave the correct name for this problem but i cannot remember it! Any how i want implants to replace the teeth that i have lost and the two which are due to lose because they are on their last legs so to speak. Most of the missing teeth are back and upper molars, is this the best option and what is the correct name for the problem that i have,

Is it possible to have lost enamel replaced?

Thursday, February 25th, 2010
Q.
my teeth are in really bad condition and i have lost most of my top set along the sides through grinding in my sleep.im struggling to chew properly and have been using the two front ones for most of it.now the enamel on my front two teeth has started to break down and im worried these two are going are going to snap now.is there a way to replace the enamel with something else or will i need to dentures or implants?im 33 and dont even smile now because its noticable.i only ask about replacing the enamel as money is extremely tight at the moment and the cost of dentures or implants is totally beyond me yet i still dont qualify for nhs dentistry.any suggestions you have would be extremely appreciated.many thanks,
