If I get implants can I get denture without roof palate?

Thursday, March 4th, 2010
Q.
I need full extractions, top and bottom. I have read that if I have implants I can get a top denture without the roof palate. Is this possible, if so, could you give me rough estimate on price.,

What tooth replacement options are there other than dentures?

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010
Q.
I am a 48 year old female with loose front teeth caused by receding gums and being hit in the mouth due to horse riding accidents. I am very self conscious of my smile. Please could you tell me if I have any options other than Dentures and what sort of cost would be involved. I am desperate to have something done and soon because I am terrified they might fall out when on a date. Thank you very much.,

Dentures feel really uncomfortable but what can be done?

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010
Q.
Hi there i have had top and bottom dentures since the age of 19 and am now 38. I have never had a set that actually fit properly. i recently lost a bit of weight and my dentures were too loose so i went to my dentist on the nhs and got a new set made which are unsuitable. She then made another set which are even worse ie bite feels all wrong, constant ulcers and sores on the bottom gum. She now says there is nothing else she can do for me. I cant even eat with the bottom set in. I am at my wits end and feel so frustrated. Do u have any ideas on where i can go next as i am constantly suffering. I really do hope you can advise me.,

I had root canals but should I consider implants?

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010
Q.
About 5 years ago I had an accident that required restoration to my front top teeth. I have one missing incisor because of that accident as well that is now bridged. I had root canals on 4 teeth that are now starting to need retreats because of infection. I’ve also been told that there is some decay on one tooth that might require a reconstruction of the whole bridge area. I have a few questions, 1. should a root canal last longer than 5 years? 2. How does tooth decay happen on a root canaled/crowned tooth and is it preventable? 3. I was 25 when the accident happened and was never offered the implant option, should that be something I consider now? Thank you in advance for your answers.,
