I Had A Tooth Extracted And There’s A Large Gap At The Back Of My Mouth Now, What Are My Options For Replacing It?

Monday, July 15th, 2013
Q.

I would like some information if possible please.

I’ve had extraction on my right second from back tooth. Its left quite a big gap that I know is there and that i want to close up as soon as i can I don’t like the fact that I have a gap and want to get it filled asap.

Any advice please reply. I have been told that i can have a implant but i wanted to see what the other options are.

I’ve had these things called Lumineers or Veneers?

I would like to know how intensive these options are and the best option for myself.

Thanks.

I’m Fed Up Of My Removable Denture, How Can I Replace My Missing Teeth?

Monday, July 15th, 2013
Q.

I am 41 yrs old, non;smoker, general good health.MY teeth are fine but owing to 15 yr gap in visits to dentist I (According to X -ray image)I now have advanced gum disease which will not respond to treatment,at least at a non specialist level, specialist treatment for me would be prohibitively expensive.consequently the rear molar on either side of the lower jaw has been removed-according to my dentist this now leaves my bottom teeth in a stable state, however 2 front teeth on the upper jaw have also been removed
and the 3 behind the right canine
also have infection beneath them and thus are scheduled for removal in near future.I already have a small denture for the missing front 2 teeth which slides into place without clips but this has to be removed in order to eat any but the softest foods. If all these teeth are removed is any infection
likely to be contained?can you suggest appropriate methods to replace missing teeth which might
be more secure than those I currently use?

My Boyfriend Had His 2 Front Teeth Knocked out, Is He Eligible For Dental Implants?

Friday, July 12th, 2013
Q.

Hi my boyfriend has had his 2 front teeth knocked out playing sports. He is a full time mature student at present and has no savings so feels his only option affordable to him would be to get dentures. Is it true that he can apply for a hc2 certificate which would pay for NHS dental care? Would this cover anything towards dental implants? If not then do any dentists offer affordable and realistic (for that individual) treatment plans over a period of time, even when the treatment is complete? He’s only young and isn’t ready for dentures I feel, plus he would like it if the treatment could blend in naturally with the rest of his natural teeth. I think that a denture may appear bulky and will affect his speech. Can you please offer an advice? Thank you for your time.

Hi. I have been conducting some research on dental implants as I’ve been very desperate for the replacement of my missing front teeth for a long time! I finally have the money to have them replaced so I want to know how much it will cost for me to have 2 implants in the upper jaw at the front? I’m fed up of seeing missing teeth there. So, I would like your advice. Thank you.

My Teeth Are Causing Me Great Distress, Can I Have Them Removed And Replaced With Fake Ones?

Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013
Q.

Hi when i was a child one of my front teeth didn’t come through properly and became slanted like wonky,my Dentist gave me braces and it didn’t help much it straightened out a bit but when the braces where removed the tooth went back into its original position and has since moved a tooth either side of it while it was going back into position from the braces.Over the years it has caused me a lot of distress i suffered badly with bullying and low self esteem now at 21 i really want this sorting as it would be a huge lift of my shoulders and feel like i can finally smile i haven’t smiled for photos in years because of the issue.Would the best course of action to have the 3 teeth removed and replaced with fake ones? also is this possible on the NHS i cant seem to find anything helpful through google searches which is how i came along this website, also if it helps the 3 teeth are front 3 on my top jaw

I Want To Replace My Dentures With A Set Of Dental Implants, Can I Get Them Through The NHS?

Wednesday, June 26th, 2013
Q.

Hello Andrew, I am 38 and unfortunately with bad living etc I have been wearing a denture on my upper set for 5 yrs. I still see myself as too young for dentures & get to the point in the day when I feel i have to take it out,but with having a partner & kids this is very difficult as I wont let them see me without it. Basically I would like to know the approx cost of an upper set of dental implants, I realise in time bone in the jaw would deteriorate & that would have to be looked at. But I just think I can’t go through the rest of my life with the irritant of my upper denture. Also what does it take to get NHS help in my situation? So I would appreciate any information you could give to me, thank you very much.

I Have Two Extra Canine Teeth, How Do I Go About Getting These Removed?

Friday, June 14th, 2013
Q.

Hi, I have still got baby teeth which didn’t come out as a child and as a result I have two extra canine teeth. I am aware the baby teeth are not going to last long-term but unsure of what procedure I would need to either bring the adult canines into position/ remove and replace with ? An alternative. Would brace treatment have to be involved in order to move the canines into position? I feel this would be the best solution as it is less invasive than tooth removal. Also I believe it would cost a substantial amount but have no idea what the approximate cost would be. I really don’t know how to go about receiving treatment for this. Can you please shed some light? Any help greatly appreciated, thank you for your time.

Will My Sensitivity To Gluten Impact Upon The Success Rates Of Dental Implant Treatment?

Thursday, June 13th, 2013
Q.

Hi Doctor Moore, I am scheduled for a titanium implant. The doctor I see for gluten sensitivity strongly advises against it based on her own experience and research about after effects, e.g., infection and electrical conductivity with old metal fillings. She had the implant removed as it seriously affected her health and had a Maryland bridge put in place. The tooth I need replaced is the second right of front which I am concerned would look grey with the metal attachments. However, my three remaining front teeth are crowns as it is. What is your position on this issue? Is there a link between gluten sensitivity and dental implant success? Do you think this should be an issue I may have to take up with my own dentist? I’m not sure what to think about receiving the treatment now…Thank you for your help.
