Q.
I am 27yrs old and to be honest my teeth are a mess, i am petrified of dentists but have sat so many times and got horrible white fillings in my front teeth, now things are worse as my eye tooth has came out and i also have a huge gap at other side, no dentist in Ayr will do veneers as i dont pay. Can I have braces on my veneers

Saturday, April 4th, 2009
Q.
When I was younger I had a slight gap in my front two teeth and an overbite, but for the most part the rest of my teeth were very straight. At 15, I had veneers put on my front two teeth to close the gap. I’m now, 4 years later, regretting getting them instead of braces because I’m still not happy with my teeth. My top gums show a lot when I smile. Is there any way that I can still get braces to improve my smile without hurting the veneers? Thanks,

My daughter has been given a horrendous contraction with two false teeth

Saturday, April 4th, 2009
Q.
My daughter is 16 1/2, she has had a difficult time with orthodontic treatment, and now has two gaps in her upper jaw in the position of the no 2 teeth. HAving finally closed the central gap and created the correct space for implants she was led to believe she would be given temporary false teeth until a suitable time for the implants. She has hwoever now been given a horrendous contraption with two very ‘false’ looking teeth, and wires everywhere, which she cannot eat with and looks awful. This has caused her to beocme very emotional at what is a stressful time due to GCSE’s. CAn you please tell me whether you can give her the beautiful smile she wants in the fairly near future.

I am torn between inman aligner and invisalign

Saturday, April 4th, 2009
Q.
I am currently looking into which treatment would be best for me. My top two front teeth are slightly protruded and have a gap. The rest of my teeth are not horrendous but could do with straightening out here and there. I am torn between the invisalign treatment and the inman aligner. I found this site useful in the pro’s and con’s to both of these solutions but wondered if you can tell me if the treatment will be permanent? For example, are my teeth likely to move back after time, and if so to what extent? Also the gap between my front teeth has allowed for some gum to grow beneath the two teeth. Should I get this removed? I am also on a budget, so please tell me how much this would cost too. Thank you.
