Can I have braces on my veneers

Q. When I was younger I had a slight gap in my front two teeth and an overbite, but for the most part the rest of my teeth were very straight. At 15, I had veneers put on my front two teeth to close the gap. I’m now, 4 years later, regretting getting them instead of braces because I’m still not happy with my teeth. My top gums show a lot when I smile. Is there any way that I can still get braces to improve my smile without hurting the veneers? Thanks,

A. Dear,

Yes you can have a brace on even if you have Veneers. i recommend that you book a consultation with an orthodontist and tell him everything that you are unhappy with to find out if you would benefit from a brace.

Celine Says :

I have veneers in my front five teeth. Then later as I had cross bites in my side teeth I decided to have braces. My dentist was happy to put braces for my cross bites and he did but he doesn’t want to do it on my front ones as he fears that i might damage my veneers and doing veneers again is not only costly but can damage my teeth. Although I have veneers in my front teeth but I am not satisfied as I show my top gum a lot. Is there anything that my dentist can do without damaging my veneers??
