I have a cough that developed after my titanium implant, could this be a cause?

Friday, March 18th, 2011
Q.

I Have just had a titanium implant and have developed a productive cough with wheeze that is not responding to any medical or natural therapies. This cough developed 2 day after implant and i have now had it for 5 months. I have a horriable feeling that the procedure although sucessful has somehow caused a reaction in my system producing these symptoms. I have never had a chest infection or asthma or sinus problems before this. Can you please advise or give me some answers.

I got quoted £5000 for veneers, is this a good price?

Friday, March 18th, 2011
Q.

Hiya,

My teeth cross over at the front, and i am looking to get the straigtend, i had a brace three years ago but my teeth have moved back to how they was.

Also my teeth are slightly discoloured due to illness.

I went to see a dentist today and he priced my teeth at £5000 to have veneer’s.

Do all veneers cost this much?

Could breastfeeding my son be causing his teeth to decay?

Friday, March 18th, 2011
Q.

Hello
I am a mum of 2 boys both have been breastfed on demand day and night. This for a long period involved frequent night feeds (every 90 – 120 mins). My first son was breastfeed for 2 years and thankfully has had no problems with his teeth. My 2nd son is nearly 3 and continues to breastfeed but unfortunately has terrible decay evident on most of his top teeth. Since Nov I have stopped night feeding him as advised by a dentist. I am unsure why his teeth are so bad. He has never has a bottle, drinks water, doesn’t eat sweets. He does have chocolate but in small amounts. He did use to eat muller fruit corner yorgurts regularly which I have recently stopped due to their high sugar content. I can’t believe that breastfeeding would cause this. I have wondered about my diet as my first son was lactose intolerate so I didn’t eat any dairy for 2 years but nowdays make up for the chocolate I missed. Thus maybe my milk is sweeter. Also I was 30 wks pregnant with my 2nd son when my first son stopped breastfeeding. Would a reduced dairy intake effect teeth?
I took my 2nd son to a dentist when he was 14months as I could see the enamel coming of his front tooth.
I am desperate to improve his situation. Any ideas why this could have occurred?
I have been advised to have his upper d’s removed next week under a GA due to decay and his age preventing effective treatment – I just can’t believe that this is happening to my little boy and feel truely dreadful!
Any ideas/ tips would be very much appreciated.

Many Thanks
Julie

Is there anything I can do to temporarily mask a discoloured tooth?

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011
Q.

Around 6 weeks ago I had a bad fall and damaged my front upper tooth. Since then I had a root canal as the nerve began to die and it has left the tooth severely discoloured. My dentist is reluctant to do anything for a few months as he wants to wait until the colour has stopped changing. I, on the other hand am desperate to get it fixed as I am very self conscious of it. My dentist has suggested that I have a veneer eventually, but is there anything I can do in the meatime to disguise it? Or should I just have the veneer now to save myself this heartache?

My daughter is worried about the dentist, could she be sedated?

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011
Q.

my daughter had a recent check up and was told that she had a root coming through her gum from a old tooth, it was very visable the dentist asked if we would like it removed or wanted to have a go ourselves, shes 9 years old and i thought he was joking, i asked for it to be removed and waited three weeks for a appointment, my daughter has adhd and can get easly upset and frightened and as soon as she saw the needle she started crying, she was told okay your done with your crocodile tears you can go, i asked whats next they said nothing. I have looked at this root and she has broken some off, it is now going brown and she has already had an infection. I need to know where to go to have it out and can she be put to sleep.thanks
