I got quoted £5000 for veneers, is this a good price?

My teeth cross over at the front, and i am looking to get the straigtend, i had a brace three years ago but my teeth have moved back to how they was.
Also my teeth are slightly discoloured due to illness.
I went to see a dentist today and he priced my teeth at £5000 to have veneer’s.
Do all veneers cost this much?

MY TEETH ARE QUITE HEALTHY BUT THEY ARE WORN BY ME GRINDING CAN I STILL GET VENEERS MY DENTIST GAVE ME A GUM SHIELD AND I WORE THROUGH THAT AFTER THAT HE SAID THAT THERE IS NOTHING MORE THAT HE CAN DO . I FEEL THAT THERE IS MORE HE CAN DO I SAW SOMEONE ON EMBARISING BODIES GETTING WORK DONE ON THE BACK TEETH SOME SORT OF FILLING AND THEY WERE ABLE TO GET VENEERS WILL I BE ABLE TO GET THIS DONE ON N.H.S AS I WORK FOR THE NHS AS A NURSE COULD YOU PLEASE GIVE ME INFO ON THIS
