Hello.
I have had a metal bridge since i was 15 years old and i recently visited my dentist in order to replace this. The bridge is of my upper three front teeth and is supported by a metal pin on the right hand side and a shaven tooth on the far left. when my dentist began to take the old bridge out the pin came away with it due to an abscess and the fact that the root had rotted away. An xray was performed before hand, however the dentist presumed the area around the pin was in fact shadowing. They now say that i have two options the first being implants at a cost of £2200, do you feel this is reasonable? The second being shaving down more teeth leaving me with six false teeth as they say the bridge can not support itself with just the two teeth. I am only 27 and i original lost my two front teeth due to an accident that was not my fault. £2200 is a lot of money when you are looking to save for a house and a wedding. So i guess i just wanted to know what your advice would be and if you had a couple of quotes for both the implants and the bridge.
