Hi Dr Moore, hopefully you can help me. I have two big teeth (my canines). It makes me feel very uncomfortable to laugh and grin when taking photos. Can they be made smaller? If so, what is the name of the procedure and how much will it cost? Also because my canines are so big, my lateral incisors are very small. Can they be made bigger? So overall I have a nicer smile? I don’t want to wear braces so I’m asking you if there is a different and cheaper alternative?
Hi Andrew. I’ve had normal braces before through the NHS and they came off early as they kept braking all the time. I have gaps at the front but my teeth are all straight. Would Simpli5 be an option? Or would Invisalign be more suitable? If Simpli5 were suitable and they were on for 3 months for example how much would this cost? Or would I need to see a consultant? Hi Dr Moore, I hope you can help me. I currently only have four teeth left of my own and I am wearing dentures at the moment, which over the years have loosened which has made me much more aware of them. I would like to know what can be done and I would also like some idea of costs and if you do a payment scheme of some kind. I am very nervous of the dentist hence me loosing most of my teeth. I’m very embarrassed to take them out and I never have in front of anyone. Any advice or information on this would help me a lot, thank you.
Hi Andrew. I currently have a missing tooth which was knocked out around five years ago, I am currently twenty years of age and it is really affecting my confidence, it is a front tooth and is on the top row. Do you know if I could have a false tooth that’s permanent and if so how much would it cost? Any information on all possibilities would be a welcome help. Also if I do eventually have a false tooth will a teeth whitening programme affect the tooth in any way? Thank you for your time and consideration.
I had a dentist appointment on for a cleaning. I was not experiencing any problems but my dentist said that I had 2 cavities that needed to be filled. I had those filled a week later. About two weeks later, I started feeling some discomfort, so I went back and he said the bite was off so he did some drilling and had me bite down and said it should be better. I am still experiencing the same problem. I went back a week after that and he did not do anything and told me to be patient. Is it normal for a cavity filling to take this long to heal? I hope you can help me with this.

I had a root canal done 3 three years ago and then my tooth became orange/grey.
I would like to know if internal bleaching is a good option as my tooth has not discoloured that much and I am not interested in a crown so far. In regards to veneers I was told that I have to have it done on my 2 front teeth and I do not like this option as one of these teeth is totally healthy.
I am looking to find a dentist that could do it. Could you also tell me how much it would cost?

Hello, I am 13 years old and I just want the gap in the front of my teeth to close in. It’s not that big but you can tell it’s there and also the sides of my teeth have gaps in them. I was just wondering how much would it cost just to have my front gap filled in and how much would it be to get all of of it done and also how long would this procedure last, are there any side affects? There are 7 gaps all together. How much would that be altogether? Is it it legal to have it done at my age? Many thanks.

I don’t know where to start now. I have been told they don’t take on anyone who isn’t registered? It’s also very embarrassing to walk into a dentist with teeth like mine. They look like they are about to fade away, which can’t be a good sign.

Hello Dr Moore. I hope you can help me as I have a severe phobia of needles and I have bad hyperventilating attacks whenever I see them coming near me or when they are about to be used on me. I have to get a labial frenectomy and I have braces and I am panicking about the needles. I read some people have to get 4-5 injections just to be numbed up for the procedure and I am very VERY nervous about this because I don’t want needles if they don’t have to be used and I am adamant about it. Hello, my good old amalgam filling just broke off. Having background in toxicology, I am pretty concerned about this situation. Looks like I have swallowed part of it, I rinsed off the rest. There is a residue of amalgam still in my tooth. Removing it can produce further exposure to mercury. Not sure if I am ready to part with my tooth either so my question is, if it makes sense to cover that cavity with composite filling, sealing the remaining amalgam? Can that be done without cleaning/scrubbing old amalgam in the cavity? Thank you.
