My Canines Are Too Big. I Don’t Feel Comfortable Laughing Or Smiling. Is There A Cheaper Alternative To Braces Which Could Help Me?

Hi Dr Moore, hopefully you can help me. I have two big teeth (my canines). It makes me feel very uncomfortable to laugh and grin when taking photos. Can they be made smaller? If so, what is the name of the procedure and how much will it cost? Also because my canines are so big, my lateral incisors are very small. Can they be made bigger? So overall I have a nicer smile? I don’t want to wear braces so I’m asking you if there is a different and cheaper alternative?

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. I’m not sure it will be cheaper but veneers might be the best option for resizing the teeth in a quicker, less intrusive way. It’s difficult to say without seeing your case in person. The best thing would be for you to seek out an experienced cosmetic dentist and run through all the treatments available.
