Hello Dr Moore, I would like to know if arch-wires on braces can push teeth in any direction? Like if the arch-wire pushed the teeth out too much would it then be able to move them back in again? My teeth stick out quite a lot and I’m thinking about wearing braces. Does it take a considerable amount of time to straighten teeth that stick out? Do the different types of braces work differently? I really need help with this as my teeth need sorting out. Thank you for your time.
Hi Andrew. I was just wondering if I could have braces and how much they cost? I have very crowded teeth and they are crooked and some of my teeth need positioning further forward as they are growing all over the place. I have to have two operations on my incisors because they are angled wrong. How long do you think I need braces on for? And do you think I should opt for fixed braces or clear ones?

Please help, I have terrible teeth due to my lack of self care and self respect for my self in my younger days (now 43 years old) lots of missing teeth some roots showing after teeth lost I don’t smile any more I avoid cameras I even try to avoid speaking due to total embarrassment. Hello Dr Moore. I have a question I hope you can help me with. What material is used to fill the area that is extracted in an apicoectomy? This is after I’ve had two operations to remove cysts and I also have an amalgam packing from 1977 and 1985 in the same area. This amalgam is now fragmenting and needs to be removed. What is involved in doing this and how successful will the operation be? What is the cost of this and can it be done at a dentist surgery or hospital? I need help understand the procedure. Hello Dr Moore. I have two loose teeth together at the front bottom due to a previous infection. My dentist wants to make me a plate for this, I would like to explore having implants to replace them once I have had my original teeth removed, however I wondered how I would locate a cosmetic surgeon that would come highly recommended and give a quality service, without being at the top end of the price market? Hello Andrew. I had my treatment started in 2006. They told me I had to pay 3500 for 3 bridges I had to be transferred to a hospital dentist whilst they put braces on. I had braces on for 4 years for a gap in the front 2 teeth and since they last tightened them I have a dead nerve. The tooth’s going black and I have a broken back tooth. When they took my braces off I have a bigger gap than I did when I started. Now they are say they can’t do anything else to them and I don’t know how to get it sorted can you help please? Thank you.
Hi Andrew. I’ve got two front teeth that need replacing at the moment and I am currently unemployed so I can’t afford implants. Is there anyway NHS dentist do it for free? I’ve previously changed dentist as the one before damaged rest of my front tooth by replacing them with caps and they kept on breaking the edge of the teeth. Hello Andrew. My question is about braces, if you could please do your best to help me answer. I started off with okay teeth only one of my eye teeth was quite high in my gum. So then I got braces and I have had them for nine months now, and my teeth are pretty straight. Almost perfect and my bite is pretty good also, he has me started with an elastic in the very back that is just shifting my tooth a bit. How much longer do you think I will have braces? Thank you!
