I Got Charged For Two Aveoplasties But I Can’t Remember Anything Of The Sort. What Should I Do?

Tuesday, July 15th, 2014
Q.

I recently had 7 teeth pulled in preparation for a lower denture. I received local anaesthesia only, I was wide awake, no gas either. I just got my bill and there was £600 on the bill for two aveoplasties. I think they made a billing mistake. Like I said I was wide awake and I contend there were no aveoplasties done. I even remember him saying after he pulled the last tooth, “Look at that, 7 teeth in 25 minutes, I think we just set a record”. Even though I was very numb wouldn’t I know and be able tell that a procedure like that or something other than a tooth being pulled was being done? Can an aveoplasty be done without sutures being required? Thank you very much in advance.

Why Am I Getting Pain When I Chew Directly After Root Canal Treatment?

Friday, February 28th, 2014
Q.

Hi Andrew, I had my first sitting for a root canal where the dentist cleaned the tooth and canals and he used local anaesthesia. It’s been two days and I am taking antibiotics and pain killers. But the my teeth hurt whenever I chew and the pain comes from temporary filled teeth. Please let me know if this is normal? How do I know whether the root canal done by this dentist is correct? Please help me or advise me on what to do?
Also what can I do to prevent this from happening when I get my crown fitted. Thank you for your help in advance.

Can scleroderma lead to problems in the future?

Tuesday, May 10th, 2011
Q.

Hello Doctor Andrew Moore. Please can you assist with my question as soon as possible, Can scleroderma lead to problems in the freezing of the area needed to be frozen for a tooth extraction, to give you a relevant example: if it makes the injection site i.e. the gums thicker or harder or not able to spread the freezing material properly,  My mother has been given a referral to an oral surgeon for the extraction of two teeth in hospital under “local” I am greatly concerned that she may experience a lot of pain during the procedure because the freezing process is not properly distributed. I would be thankful if you can get back to me on this.

Can I but to sleep when receiving dental implants?

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010
Q.
i dont have a lot of teeth left on my upper jaw, and on the end of june im due to have 7 extractrations which will leave just 3 teeth left. I was looking to get fixed upped teeth to replace all the missing ones, but it seems that thats not possible as that type of method only happen when one side only needs to be done . so my question is with what seems to be implants which seem to have gone forward in its techonlogy. what would be the price for all upper minus the 3 teeth i have left.. and am i correct in thinkign the procedure happens like this. you go in have cuts to the gum to allowing drilling of three sizes to have the “plug” impanted, you then go home untill it heals over, they then make another cut and screw in the screw ready for the tooth for that area to be placed on. also how long would this take , and is it possible t have this done whilst being made asleep (im terrified of dentists) many thanks,
