I work full time as a nurse but cannot afford veneers, what would you advise me to do?

Wednesday, October 17th, 2012
Q.

Hello there, I have been struggling with my teeth now for a number of years. I am depressed with my appearance, can’t physically eat with my two front teeth, and I am extremely conscious. I used to feel quite attractive, not any more. I work full time as a nurse, but simply cannot afford the veneers i’v always dreamed of. I’m hoping to get them some day, and I will never give up. It’s making me very unhappy. I love to smile, sing, and talk. All of these things are becoming a daily struggle. Would just appreciate some or any advice as to what I can do. I am at my wits end. Thank you for reading,

Is it possible to have just 6 teeth prepared for veneers? Or is it standard practice to have more?

Wednesday, October 17th, 2012
Q.

Hi i am thinking of possibly getting veneers. It seems that porcelain are better, or Lumineers from what I have read. I was thinking of perhaps getting my top six teeth done and then whitening the rest of my teeth. My teeth are not in terrible shape but stained partly from smoking a little and i have been grinding a little also. Is this possible to do or is it more usual to do more including the bottom row. Any advice would be most welcome.
Kindest regards.

Can veneers correct broken, front teeth?

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012
Q.

Hi, Doctor Moore. Here is my problem, so I have fallen recently which resulted in me smashing my two top front teeth and also a bottom one. I have half of my top two left and about a quarter of my bottom tooth left. I am very worried that these teeth will have to be removed, as they’re obviously permanent teeth this thought really scares me! Can these teeth be saved or is it just easier for these to be replaced with new, prosthetic teeth? I was wondering what my options are??? Any help would really be appreciated. I would like to have veneers, this has been a long time wish of mine, would they be a suitable form of treatment? So I see this as an ideal time to have some good dental work done. Thanks for your time.

How much would veneers and whitening be?

Wednesday, September 26th, 2012
Q.

Hi

I have been considering dental veneers and teeth whitening as I’m not happy with my teeth. I have fangs next to my big teeth which are not too bad but I would have them out of choice. On my right ride next to the dang I also have a tooth which has grown higher in the gum than it gum than it should have (when I was younger the tooth grew whilst my baby tooth was still there and then the baby tooth fell out) and as a result of this when I smile it looks as though I am missing a tooth. My dentist told me this could only be corrected by a brace however I’m not keen on this as I worry it may move my other teeth which are straight and fine as they are. Is this something that could potentially be corrected with a veneer? If so what would the approximate cost of 3 veneers and teeth whitening be? The staining on my teeth isn’t bad but is probably too much for my age. Thank you.

Q.

hi there, I am considering receiving vaneers but i have receding gums due to a gum infection i had. i am unsure if vaneers are even right for me and if this could be sorted out by a less painfull process, what do you think? my gums have receded to quite far down on my bottom jaw. everywhere else is healthy i think. but the bit at the front (at the bottom) is not the same at all. two of my front bottom teeth are very slightly loose feeling. i do not know if it is just my imagination. all i want to do is to regain my usual smile. please help me. thanks.

Are my teeth moving back because I’m not wearing my retainer often enough?

Monday, September 3rd, 2012
Q.

Hello. I hope you are well.
I am 32 years old and I wore a brace for a year and now have a retainer on the top and bottom rows of my teeth. I have noticed that my bottom teeth are moving a little and going back to their original place – which was originally very crooked. This is really concerning me. I had white fillings to line them up so should I go back and get crowns on the bottom to stop the movement and make them look better or is it that I am not wearing the retainer often enough?
Id like to have really nice looking teeth. I had a crown on the front and whilst I was really happy, its colour appears to be less like the other teeth – which puts me back to square 1can you give me some advice please?

Which veneers are best suited for thinning teeth problems?

Monday, September 3rd, 2012
Q.

Hello,

I am considering getting veneers. My teeth are thinning very rapidly despite of the fact that I really do take a good care of them and watch that I don’t eat too much acidic foods.
I maintain a very good oral hygiene routine too. Although my bottom teeth look good the top 4-6 not so good. So I’m not sure how many veneers minimum I should have and more importantly which ones are the best for me? I read a lot of information about the various types available, which makes me more and more confused.

There are so many types to choose from and I don’t know which would be best for me. I would appreciate your advice.
Thank you.

Can I have veneers for very prominent front teeth?

Monday, September 3rd, 2012
Q.

I’m from the UK and 24 and I actually need braces but I’ve given up on ever getting them. The one thing that really effects my confidence is I have a dead discolored tooth. The options I believe to have is a veneer or tooth whitening. (My dentist is not very good and I’m in the process of switching) I know neither are cheap. Can I actually get a veneer if I have really prominent front teeth? And what is the cheapest deal I can get. Thanks in advance

Can invisalign aligners close 4mm gaps?

Friday, August 24th, 2012
Q.

Hi, I have just been to a dentist who said aligners (invisalign) could not close the gap between my front teeth. He said you can only actually move teeth by about 1mm with invisalign. Now my gap is quite big so I was not necessarily going to go with aligners anyway but can they close gaps of say 4mm? He said I would need full on braces, (I would go for Incognito) with 4 veneers or 6 veneers? To be fair he said the four veneers and braces could be less on the veneer side depending on the finish I wanted. I thought he was very good and made me feel relaxed but now not sure what to think? A separate dentist has said otherwise on invisalign and not sure who’s advice I should be listening to, what do you think?

How do I know if I am being treated by a highly experienced cosmetic dentist?

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012
Q.

Hi there. Sorry to bother you but how can I found out abot the dentist I have chosen in central London, is there a list of dentists you can look up for quality etc? I was quite happy with who I’ve chosen but am now having reservations and have just read a daily mail article ( from 2008 granted) by a fashion editor who went to see someone in Linton who was supposed to be top notch and had done pop stars teeth but she ended up having a nightmare and not only left with poor quality veneers that fellmout after 6 weeks but is isn constant pain form the procedure? How can you judge your dentists? I am starting to panic now despite only wanting two from top veneers 745 per veneer (is this normal price?) can you possiblynassist in helping find out the reputation of my chided dentist as the article pointed out top London dentists who work on celebs are not always the best ? Kindest regards
