Can invisalign aligners close 4mm gaps?

Q.
Hi, I have just been to a dentist who said aligners (invisalign) could not close the gap between my front teeth. He said you can only actually move teeth by about 1mm with invisalign. Now my gap is quite big so I was not necessarily going to go with aligners anyway but can they close gaps of say 4mm? He said I would need full on braces, (I would go for Incognito) with 4 veneers or 6 veneers? To be fair he said the four veneers and braces could be less on the veneer side depending on the finish I wanted. I thought he was very good and made me feel relaxed but now not sure what to think? A separate dentist has said otherwise on invisalign and not sure who’s advice I should be listening to, what do you think?

Hi, thanks for your question. Well, it depends on who you feel most comfortable with. If your happy with this guy then go for it, you can get lots of different plans from different dentists.

Thanks, but what I was really asking is can gaps between teeth of say 4mm be closed by invisalign?
