How long will it take to get used to my new bridge?

Q.
Hello Doc.
Last week I had some bridge work done to replace a 2-tooth lower plate, which I’ve lived with for over 20 years, but which was becoming irritating and ill-fitting. The bridge looks fantastic, but feels very unwelcome in my mouth and I’m starting to panic that I’ve made the wrong decision by having this work done. All I can feel in my mouth is this bridge; eating has become a depressing affair, since the bridge feels like its dominating my taste buds. Will this discomfort subside? How long should I wait before deciding to have the thing removed? Please help!

At least 3-6 months

Two weeks ago I had some bridge work done on my upper tooth plate, the bridge looks good, however I feel very uneasy and unwelcome in my mounth. I cannot eat nor chew, I then went back to my dentist and had the bridge removed. Last week, I went back for the bridge, eating is still a challenge as nothing cannot chewed. My dentist told me it will take a while. is this normal ? Shall I go back to have it adjusted again ?

Thank you
