What would you advise I do to whiten a discoloured protruding tooth?

Q.
Hi
I had braces several years ago to correct a protuding front tooth, it is slowly making its way back out again unfortunately and is also a darker colour than the others. I would love a Hollywood smile but not sure of the best method. My regular dentist told me that if I had my teeth whitened, the problem tooth may still be darker than the others.
Have you dealt with anything similar?
Thanks.
A.
Our cosmetic dentists are regularly faced with 1 discoloured tooth. One option for correcting this is to have internal bleaching done – where you open the tooth from the back and insert whitening gel for a short period of time, then you could cover the tooth with a composite bonding or veneer.

If you are finding the tooth is protruding, you may benefit from a retainer to help keep the teeth in the same position.

If you want the Hollywood smile, your first step would be to book in for a full cosmetic consultation with a cosmetic dentist who can go over all your concerns and give you a complete treatment plan and quotation.
