what would be the best option for my broken front tooth dentures or bridges or implants

Q. Hi, I have recently broken my front tooth which I was really embarrassed about. Anyway, unfortantly I had to wait a week before I could see my dentist. he advised me that the tooth was weak at the root from an infection. I had a choice to either have a crown fitted but could break or fall out due to the infection. The other choice was to take out the remaining tooth, have a temp denture and then have a bridge fitted. I decided to have the tooth taken out, wait 2 days for my temp tooth and then 6 months before I can have a bridge fitted. When I went to get my temp tooth fitted (which feels really weird and can’t wait to get rid of it) the dentist gave me further options which is making me confused and I don’t know what to do for the best: 1) Keep the temp denture (which I hate and dont want to do this) 2) Have a bridge fitted but could weaken my other teeth at the front and could come out 3) Have implants which would prob cost me £2000 for one tooth and at the moment I can’t afford. I would like to have an implant but don’t have that sort of money at the moment and not sure if you can pay monthly. I was wondering if you could advise me what would be best as I’m very confused. Hope this makes sense and look forward to your reply. Many thanks, A sensitive, toothless young woman.

A. I come across this alot. I understand that finacially it is a big decision to make, but an implant retained crown in the gap would be the best long term option. The reason is that it doesn’t compromise the sound teeth at either side, and having a good aesthetic looking bridge in that area vcan cost alot of money aswell- which may need reaplcing in 10yrs time. An implant is permanent and the next best thing to a ‘real’ tooth.
The results can also be outstanding.
There ARE financial options aswell. (such as 0% interest free for example)
It is a big decision to make, and I would be more than happy to recommend a good implantologist for you in your area- or alternatively you can have a free consultation with myself at kissdental.
Just something for you to consider.
