What are the options for the replacement of an ill-fitting denture?

Q.
I once had alot of crowns fitted on my upper teeth except for 5 teeth at the back which i have still got except their in bad condition,as my crowns have fell out or the stakes have broke the dentist has replaced all my teeth with a denture which is so ill fitted and i just cant eat properly and have no bite even the second denture they have made me is so ill fitting and uncomfortable i am embarrased and will not smie as my smile is so crooked,it was all done on the nhs as im disabled and i could not afford to replace the crowns and the dentist said i have to have the cheapest option which was a denture either that or be gummy my denture has 7 teeth on it and it sits next to the 5 teeth that i have, but i dont want dentures any more i hate having to take them out all the time and im only 54 yrs old is their any hope for me and also what prices are we talking about as im on limited funds as i can not work,is their a way that i could have a little bit of work done at a time and pay at every stage until its all done, sorry for asking you for so much information

IT sounds like either dentures or implants are your only 2 options. Implants can work out quite expensive but can be the best option for fixed teeth. Alternatively you could seek out a dentist who could try to make a better set of dentures for you, probably privately?

I would advise you to see your nearest Dentist. You might need to replace your current denture to one that fit you alot better.

Hi, I’ve had a marlyn bridge done for two missing upper lateral incisor teeth. The procedure was done two years ago in the states, and has now surprisingly broken. There is a crack in the bond on the right and the left toothhas completely broken out. I feel it has come to the point of emergency asI am now gluing my tooth in with denture glue. As I am now living in London it’s complicated going back to fix it. I was wondering if you do and repair procedures such as this, and what options I have with American insurance. Please contact me as soon as possible. Thank you

Hello. Last week I had new full upper and lower dentures fitted for the first time. However, I am having great difficulty keeping them in my mouth as I have a mild form of Cerebral Palsy. My tongue is partially paralysed and I lack muscular co-ordination.
I am feeling rather distraught. I have read that in exceptional circumstances the NHS would allow people to qualify for free dental implants. Do I have a case? Thanks.
