I am a 54 year old female and I currently wear a partial denture, which looks like my own teeth and has become loose (6 teeth missing at the front). I also had a crown to the side and a big filling towards the back (I think you call them pre-molars). Both have fallen out. The tooth that was next to the crown that has fallen out is too far gone that the dentist says it’s not worth filling because its actually dead and down to the gums. What options are available and budget-friendly? What can I expect to pay on the NHS or private?

What’s the Best Treatment for a Crown and Filling That Have Fallen Out?
Thursday, September 22nd, 2016My Dentures are Uncomfortable. What Can Be Done?
Wednesday, May 13th, 2015 Hi. I have had all my teeth taken out on the NHS, except one wisdom tooth. The reason they were removed was my bone/gums were receding. I have been left with hardly any bridge to hold lower dentures, but my dentist has used a clip to hold the one remaining tooth. This is okay whilst it’s in but there’s going too be problems when I lose it. Both my top and bottom dentures are so uncomfortable, and my face shape has changed an awful lot.
Is there anything that can be done?
Thank you.
What Can I Do About My Loose Dentures? I’m Very Nervous When It Comes To My Teeth.
Wednesday, March 12th, 2014Hi Dr Moore, I hope you can help me. I currently only have four teeth left of my own and I am wearing dentures at the moment, which over the years have loosened which has made me much more aware of them. I would like to know what can be done and I would also like some idea of costs and if you do a payment scheme of some kind. I am very nervous of the dentist hence me loosing most of my teeth. I’m very embarrassed to take them out and I never have in front of anyone. Any advice or information on this would help me a lot, thank you.

I hate my dentures, what is the cost of dental implants?
Thursday, August 18th, 2011I have lost all of my bottom teeth and most of my uppers due to dental disease. I have had a new bottom denture made and fitted. The appearance is not as I expected it to be, nothing like my original teeth and my mouth doesn’t close in the same way it used to
The only way they will stay in is with dental glue but that is useless when eating as the whole denture comes out out, they are also ugly and not natural to the way my mouth closes.
The upper dentures need to be done soon but I am so dissappointed with the result of the bottom set, what’s the point? I can’t eat out any more, I can’t even enjoy a meal at home. Fruit, like apples, pears, even plums are completely out of the question now.
I am a pensioner, just how much will it cost to have a denture implant done. I hear so many stories, so many different prices quoted.
I can’t believe the NHS don’t help in this respect. It is not just cosmetic, teeth are for eating with after all!
I know how expensive implants can be but how much exactly, I have heard lots of prices quoted. I am a pensioner but the way I look is still important and more important still I like to eat!

How long do dentures last?
Tuesday, January 4th, 2011I currently have dentures, after many years of treatments at various dentists and continuous pain and abcesses, I gave up and opted for excision! I am happy to keep the dentures, but I was wondering how long they last, my mouth seems to still be shrinking, despite having the troublesome teeth removed 3 years ago, this is my 4th plate! many thanks
