What are my options for filling in gaps between teeth?

Q.
I Have 12 Teeth At The Top An I Believe I Am Suppose To Have 16 And They’re Are Gaps In The Front That Are Real Noticeable I Have A Gap In Between My Central Incisors I Am Missing My Lateral Incisors So I Have A Gap Between My Canine cuspid And First Bicuspid As Well What Do You Think I Should Do? I Do Not Want Implants Thats Too Much Of A Wait Game I Just Want My Gaps Gone With No Drilling Or Pain. I Am Embarrassed To Smile I Cover My Teeth When I Laugh. I Just Want To Be Able To Take A Picture With A Beautiful Smile. That Would Boost My Confidence Up High.

Hi

It does sound as you are missing some teeth. Ideally implants are placed when teeth are missing as they have a great life expectancy and don’t involve adjacent teeth. Other options include bridges (but not as conservative), dentures (bulky) or depending on which teeth are missing and the size of the spaces, orthodontics (braces – but they don’t have to be the metal ones worn on the outside of the teeth). I would recommend a consultation as soon as possible to discuss all of these in more detail and which one(s) are more suitable for you. I would also advise not to necessarily choose the quickest option but one that will give you the best result that will leave you smiling for years to come!

Hi, I had bridge done few years ago and started having on and off abscess. So I had decided to have root canal done 2 yrs ago and had new bridge. I haven’t had any problem until 2 days ago, noticed an abscess above the bridge and my face gone swollen. I went to see a local dentist he has drained the pus and put me an antibiotics. It seems like having the root canal didn’t solve the initial problem. I’m thinking of having my tooth extracted instead. Would an implant solve the problem? Is there a possibility that a dental abscess would recur with the implant?

Hello There, I have had 6 porcelain veneers to my upper teeth. I had to have my lower 4 front teeth removed and a “temporary bridge fitted” 2 yearson the bridge broke and I am left with a large gap as well as having the enamel taken off the 2 outside remaining teeth. My plan was to get a perminant bridge made to match my top 6 veneers. is this possible ? can you help? Many Thanks

Sir I have an infection under a large dridge in the front of my mouth. I have been treated with Antibiotices. I am told after an unsuccessful attemptby my dentist to access the infection through the bridge, I will have to berefferred to St Johns. This I am alarmingly told may take 6 weeks. I needoral surgery to go through the gum to clear out the root and infection. Isthis something you could do for me. I am a little desperate. Kind Regards

Hi, I have just had a tooth broken on the lower set and there are a few bits of teeth sticking up, the problem is I am due to go to my sons wedding in 2 weeks so would like to know where I can get a temporary paste or something similar to block the hole until I can get to the dentist. This, or course leaves a horrible gaping hole when I smile which I would not like to show at the wedding. Any advise would be most appreciated. Thank you.

The best advice is to go to a dentist as soon as possible, temporary filling material from a chemist won’t really help you for more than a day or 2
