Hello Marcus. Could you please help me? I would like the perfect smile. I would like veneers, 6 at the top and 8 at the bottom and 1 dental implant. I would like large white veneers. I’ve seen it done on embarrassing bodies. They file them down to pegs then put temps on until yours are made. My teeth are not too good but I want them to really stand out so that I’m smiling all day. Could you tell me how you do this please and give me a rough guide on what price it may be? Thank you.
Hello Dr Hughes. I am 44 years old and had traditional braces on for four years. They have just been removed and now I have demineralization white spots on my teeth around where the brackets were. I was told that these spots are permanent and cannot be removed. The dentist recommended veneers, after 4 years and $6000 worth of braces. Could I have just gotten the veneers without the braces 4 years ago? Is it true the the white spots are permanent and cannot be removed? If so, what are the major differences between the veneers: durathin, Lumineers, porcelain, composite, MAC, Da Vinci. Thank you.
Hello Dr Hughes. My front teeth are awful!
A few years ago I had a dental abscess, and I had to have a hole drilled into the front of my front tooth to allow the infection to drain out, and this was then filled in by my dentist. Since then, the tooth has now gone black. My dentist has bleached the inside, but I am still very self conscious about it. Would veneers work for me? I would probably need the 4 front teeth doing. Do you have any other suggestions? By the way, I am a very nervous patient. I also live in North Wales, with Wrexham or Chester being the nearest town. Thank you.
Hello Dr Gambroudes. I am currently on income support, so am unable to afford private dental treatment. I’ve had major mental health problems due to issues I’ve had with my teeth and the way they look. I suffer from depression and major anxiety as a result of the state of my teeth. The way they look is so upsetting to me and it plays on my mind every day, I feel as though I can’t go to social events because people will stare at me. Would I be able to get braces or veneers on the NHS due to the mental health impact on my life? I never go out due to people looking aand judging me based on my teeth. Thank you.
Hi Dr Hughes. I recently had veneers on 5 of my front teeth, and am very disappointed and have no faith in the dentist who did them. Two of my teeth already had old veneers on them and the dentist had a great deal of trouble getting these off. I think he may have shaved off too much tooth. I queried the colour (A1) which is far too white. One of the incisors is longer than the other so my bite is now wrong. The incisors also jut out more than before and feel very uncomfortable.
Can the incisors be leveled? I went as a private patient and paid £2.500. Can you offer any advice on how to correct this?

I have always been self conscious about my teeth and veneer treatment seems to be the best option for me so far. I’m just unsure whether this would work as a friend told me that veneers are more commonly used for gaps. Also am I able to pay on finance when getting veneers? Am I able to get veneers at the age of 18 years old?

Hello Dr Moore. I need some information. When I smile you cannot see my top set of teeth, they are too small and it really annoys me the way they look. I just want a nice, normal smile. Can veneers be made a little longer to show a set of nice white teeth smile or would false teeth be my only option? Hello Dr Moore. My 4 front teeth are becoming thin as my enamel is wearing away which makes me insecure but also makes my teeth really sensitive. I have a maternity exemption card. If I ask my dentist to fit the crowns will I get this for free or do they have the final decision as to whether I need them or not? Or also are dental crowns the best solution or would veneers help me? Would love some advice so I can go to the dentist with a bit of information.

Hey Mark. I have a gap between my two front teeth on the top set of my jaw, I have already had braces when I was younger but they didn’t seem to work. I was wondering what options I have to close this gap? E.g. Veneers or bonding? Is there an option just to get two veneers put in (the two front teeth) and get the rest whitened or will that look weird? Also what would be the most effective treatment? Could you please advise me on prices too?

I had 6 porcelain veneers fitted to my top front 6 teeth 25 years ago. Within the last 12 months 2 have chipped which I had replaced during my last 2 months in the RAF (free dental treatment) but they are not even close to the shade of my other 4. Since leaving the RAF I have joined my local dentist and recently another veneer has pinged off. I saw my dentist and he recommended that I have all 6 replaced in order to colour match and have all my teeth whitened and fillings replaced with white ones. What would you recommend? (I do fully expect my remaining original veneers to start pinging off now as they’ve lasted way beyond what it was advised).
