I have moderate white florosis on my 4 front teeth and my teeth are quite a dark colour. I would like to have veneers to cover them but as I am only 18 I was wondering whether lumineers would cover them as it is less invasive and as I would have to keep replacnig them for the rest of my life better for my oral health. Please could you advise. Furthermore can you whiten your teeth with veneers in?

Can I get veneers free on the NHS?

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
Can I get veneers free on the NHS? One of my front teeth is discoloured and my dentist has said that it is partially dead – therefore I may need root canal treatment before I have veneers fitted. I am a full time student, so would the NHS pay for all/some of the treatment and how do I apply??

Is £5000 sufficient for 6 veeers and which type

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
I’m thinking about having some work done to my teeth. From what I have read I imagine I will need to have veneers fitted. I am currently a student and will be hoping to spend around £5000 on it. Is it possible to have pehaps six veneers for this price? Also, could you advise on which type of veneers I should opt for. I would prefer whichever gives the least damage to my original teeth. Thanks

The cost of replacing veneers is very high does NHS replace it?

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
I had veneers fitted when I was 16 to close the gaps in my four front teeth (Upper Left 1 & 2 and Upper Right 1 & 2) after having fixed braces for nearly 2 years. The treatment was done by my local NHS dentist. Now, 9 years later, the dentist who performed the treatment has retired and his predecessor has shown concern with my veeners. He insists I was too young to have veneers fitted as my mouth has now grown and the veneers look odd and don’t ‘sit’ properly in my mouth. My dentist has informed me that new techniques would make replacements easy and that re-shaping the veneers to suit me would look much more natural. This all sounds very attractive but I am concerned about the price tag that goes with the treatment. I was wondering where do I stand with any possibility to having the treatment funded or part funded by the NHS?
