I need to improve my smile is there any significant difference between veneers and crowns

Sunday, June 21st, 2009
Q.
Hi…I have had a desire to improve my smile for years as I hate my teeth. They are not too crooked but could do with a more aligned brighter smile. Is there a significant difference between venneers and crowns, both in terms of durability and cost. any advice welcomed thanks

I have veneers in my front five teeth and i have cross bite is there any thing a dentist can do

Saturday, June 20th, 2009
Q.
I have veneers in my front five teeth. Then later as I had cross bites in my side teeth I decided to have braces. My dentist was happy to put braces for my cross bites and he did but he doesn’t want to do it on my front ones as he fears that i might damage my veneers and doing veneers again is not only steep but can damage my teeth. Although I have veneers in my front teeth but I am not satisfied as I show my top gum a lot and my front teeth sticks out a bit. Is there anything that my dentist can do without damaging my veneers??

My jaws stopped growing before all of my teeth what could be done to correct this?

Saturday, June 20th, 2009
Q.
I was wondering what surgery would be necessary for me, and also what prices I may be looking at (I live in North England). My dentist told me that my jaws stopped growing before all of my teeth were through, which has caused the two “fang” teeth to be pushed higher on the gum, so now everytime I smile I look vampire-like. What could be done to correct this?

I had cap on my molar teeth and i would like to replace it with veneer how much does it cost

Saturday, June 20th, 2009
Q.
Hi Dr Andrew Moore! I am a 33yo F. I am very contented will all of my body parts except my teeth. You see I had a hockey accident when i was 19yo and the dentist placed a cap over my chipped molar and it was not the right colour. Also the nerves are dying in the tooth next to it. I will love to get that di vinci veneer done but dont know if i can affort it. By the way…how much is this procedure.

I knocked part of my front four teeth which would be a better option crowns or veneers

Saturday, June 20th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I’ve had a bit of an accident today and knocked part of my front four teeth out (about half of each). I was thinking of having veneers anyway to correct them as they were slightly crooked but am now wondering whether these can be fitted over these broken teeth. Would crowns be better? I was under the impression that veneers just looked better. Thanks.

I have a large gap inbetween my front teeth what would be my best option to fix it?

Friday, June 19th, 2009
Q.
Hi – I am 39 – and have a large (I consider it to be) gap (about 3mm) inbetween my front teeth. It was smaller, but I wore braces as a child and the gap seemed to get bigger – I do remember having something behind my two front teeth to pull them in, but that didn’t seem to work – I have a piece of skin inbetween them (don’t know the name for it) which I presume is causing the problem.. I am wondering what my best option would be, whether to get the skin removed and wear braces, or to have somesort of cosmetic dentistry to englare the front teeth to close the gap… kindest regards
