Hi, I have a gap between my front incisor and the next tooth (can’t think what that one is called) i would like this gap closed, but have been told that i would have to have all of my teeth shaved down from canine to canine just to close this gap! Is there anything else that could be done? I don’t really want to destroy perfectly healthy teeth. My teeth really bother me and I am looking to have the work done ASAP. I have gaps in my teeth, and anticipate having veneers to help rebuild my smile so that it is more uniform. However i grind my teeth, and was wondering whether i would still be able to have veneers, if not what suitable alternative could i have to accomodate my ‘griniding’ but solve the gap situation? Would it be possible for me to maintain my veneers with a night guard? Regards

Hello I had a serious car accident whilst on holiday in Turkey. In brief, I had jaw surgery and was wired for more than 4 weeks. The wires have been removed now. Its been like 6 weeks now since i had jaw surgery. I also had broken/chipped teeth because of the accident. My questions are: 1. How long should I wait to get my teeth sorted – to get veneers? 2. Should my travel insurance be responsible for my broken teeth as well? If yes, how do deal with insurance payments? Hope to hear from you soon

Hello, I am 56yrs old and have been ashamed of my slightly protruding upper and lower teeth for so long. I also suffer with a degree of gum disease and teeth whitening has not worked for me. Is there a treatment (not braces / Invisalign) which allows the upper and lower sets to be better aligned / positioned which does not impair the bite and for veneers or other treatment to improve the look and colour?

I have two veneers at the top front and two crowns

Hi there I have 2 veneers at the top front. and the either side of that I have 2 crowns which are all awful! None of them match the colours range from off white to beighe! They are very old now and the Veneers keep falling off randomley and I have to stick them back with …waitfor it.. Super glue. I cannot afford the dentist as I dread to think what I need done and how much it will cost (not too sure if I can pay it back monthly?)!? Many thanks and Look forward to a reply

I woud like to know how much discomfort to expect after veneers are fitted. I had 6 veneers fitted three weeks ago and have had to take strong painkillers night and day ever since. This is not sensitivity but a throbbing pain which barely leaves me for any length of time. I stay almost 70 miles away from my dentist but saw him today. He says this is normal and usually takes anything from 2 to 8 weeks for everything to settle down. Is this truly the case? If I had known this was going to happen I would never have had it done. Please reply. Thank you for your time.

smashing one of my front teeth

I had an accident about 6 years ago which resulted in me smashing one of my front teeth. After some root work i had a crown fitted but it was a really bad fit and very noticable. I had to wait until a few weeks ago to get it redone as i could not afford it. I have now got my temporay crown in and goingback next week to get the new porcelin crown fixed. As i also have a gap i am getting a porcelin veneer in my other front tooth to close the gap. It is costing me over £2000. My issue is that the main reason i wanted to get it sorted is the black line on the top of my tooth. My dentist originally told me that with the porcelin crown and a white post this would be illiminated but when i went in to get my old crown removed and the temporay fitted he said that my old tooth is very black and so i can not get rid of the black line. This is very gutting for me as i still feel it looks really bad. I feel really annoyed that i am paying all this money but am still going to come away with the unsightly black gum! Is there anything that i can do? Shoudl i contact my dentist to discuss before my finla appointment?
