How soon after having my toot extraction can i have my teeth whitened?

Monday, July 6th, 2009
Q.
I am having a top molar extracted tomorrow as I have an abcess in the roots. Because I have already had root canal treatment on this tooth my dentist is unable to save it. This means I will have lost a total of 4 molars on the top and will now need to look at having false teeth of some kind. Because of this I am looking at getting my teeth whitened before I get a soft flexi plate made. How soon after having my tooth extraction can I have my teeth whitened? Also the dental clinic I am looking at getting the whitening done, (I came across it on the internet and the prices are really cheap) doesn’t have any agencies/governing bodies named on their website ie; GDC or BACD. Does this mean they are dodgy and I should avoid them. They claim to whiten teeth with the new “Ultra-whitening” treatment in 15minutes and the treatment does not use any bleach. They just put a gel on your gums and use a laser. Does this sound right? As all the other websites I have looked at seem to use a bleach based treatment.

I have had a tooth extracted and 12 day later my mouth feels hot is this an infection?

Friday, June 26th, 2009
Q.
I have had a tooth extracted of left upper 6. The dentist couldn’t get it out – I had a lot of trauma worse experience of my life! However 12 days later my mouth feels hot and the gum is SPLIT and it doesn’t look like its healing also funny tingles going on up there.. What is this an infection?… or is gum trying to heal?? Should I go back to dentist? ALSO The same tooth was part of a bridge; the other two teeth (4, 5 is in a shorter bridge now). He suggested an implant; but have been looking up about MAXI Implant which is cheaper and quicker – is this an option? Why didn’t he suggest a replacement bridge? is it because i now i have two missing teeth in that area? Why did the incisor tooth take so long to remove – it was about 10 minutes!! I had a terrible headache! He said because the ‘root’ was thick … is this usually the case?. Surely such difficult teeth should be taken out at the hospital!! Still traumatized patient… Thanks for your reply!

Friday, June 26th, 2009
Q.
Yesterday I had my 4 front teeth removed and accrilic imedeate partials fitted the cost was £840 for the partial plus £380 the extractions and £122 for sedation, the total is over £1500. is that high? I needed it as the 4 crowns and root cannals he fitted 2 years ago have failed and a endodontist said the problems were to complicated to fix.

I had an molar extracted and now my upper front teeth are sensitive and uncomfortable

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009
Q.
Hi I had an upper back molar extracted three weeks ago. I had dry socket there after but after a week of dressings this has since gone. I am however feeling a slight sensitive sensation in my 2 upper front teeth and it is uncomfortable sleeping as my bite seems to have changed, my teeth do not seem to rest together properly. I am rinsing with a salt water rinse. I am having a bridge in 3 months time, is this normal?
