I have had a tooth extracted and 12 day later my mouth feels hot is this an infection?

Q. I have had a tooth extracted of left upper 6. The dentist couldn’t get it out – I had a lot of trauma worse experience of my life! However 12 days later my mouth feels hot and the gum is SPLIT and it doesn’t look like its healing also funny tingles going on up there.. What is this an infection?… or is gum trying to heal?? Should I go back to dentist? ALSO The same tooth was part of a bridge; the other two teeth (4, 5 is in a shorter bridge now). He suggested an implant; but have been looking up about MAXI Implant which is cheaper and quicker – is this an option? Why didn’t he suggest a replacement bridge? is it because i now i have two missing teeth in that area? Why did the incisor tooth take so long to remove – it was about 10 minutes!! I had a terrible headache! He said because the ‘root’ was thick … is this usually the case?. Surely such difficult teeth should be taken out at the hospital!! Still traumatized patient… Thanks for your reply!

A. 10 minutes isn’t that long for a difficult extraction, however if there is pain/swelling in the area you should go backt to your dentist for him to check the area as there could be an infection. The maxi implant should work fine but you will need to wait for a few months to allow the gum to heal
