Is there any possibility to extract as many teeth to hv avg smile?

Friday, October 23rd, 2009
Q.
As an early teen I had chipped the top, front 6 of my teeth rollerblading. They felt loose for a while and had always bothered me the way they healed. It bothers me how my front teeth are displayed slightly misaligned to my left and with an overbite as well. The Army Dentist insisted on putting veneers over them. That never did anything to fix the misalignment problem of the front two top teeth being aligned under my nose. It seems the injury I must have suffered as a kid made the teeth grow in this way after they healed. I am disappointed and finished with the idea of trying to salvage my smile at this point in my life. I am wondering if you may be able to let me know if there is a possibility that there is a Dentist out there that would extract my front, top 6 teeth or as many as needed to have an average looking smile that is aligned under my nose. Thanks very much

What would be the cost for teeth straightening?

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009
Q.
Dear Mr Tennet, I used to be a patient of yours at cadbury’s dental practice and thought it may be better to ask you than any of the other doctors. I have two teeth at the front which are a little longer in vertical height than the others… My aim is for them all to be the same vertical length, so ideally I would like them straightened across the board. How much would it cost just for that?

Is its true that I need a retainer at night if I wear metal braces?

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009
Q.
Hello. I am a 33 year old woman who would like to straighten 2 teeth at the top front of my mouth. From ages 13-18 I wore braces which sorted out most of my teeth but my orthodontist would not continue my treatment when I left school (even though I was going to university). I am still very self conscious about my smile, even at this age! I have longed for straight teeth, but having recently visited another orthodontist, she advised that i would need to wear metal braces for a year and would need a retainer at night for the rest of my life! This obviously put me off. Is this true?

Is its possible to fix braces on my front teeth which are pushed together?

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009
Q.
Hi im  24 years old,Im a very nervous patient, after 16 years i went to the dentist and i found out i need 9 extractions, top 5 4 4 6 7, bottom 7 6 5 7. My front teeth on the top are a bit pushed together, i was wondering if its possible to fix braces on them now that im gonna have all that missing teeth. Also on the bottom jaw my front teeth are nice and straight, is it possible to fix something to retain their position, so they wont move to close the gaps. (i know dental implants could be perfect to replace missing tooth, but due to my financial situation and my phobia its not possible for me) thank you for your help

Q.
Hi there i am 26 years old and i have really bad front teeth, they are both dead from where i fell of my bike and the left one sticks out massivly. i have had 2 root canals on both of them, i really want my teeth to be straight and white but can not afford the cost of braces. i would consider crowns but i went to see a dentist and he said that because my left tooth sticks out to much they wont be straight at the top but they will at the bottom. in all my photos since having the accedent in 2001 i have never smiled showing my teeth. if you know how i can get them straightend on a buget them please let me know as its been a dream of mine to have them done but never had the cash to do it.. thank you for reading this

Hello Doc, I am 34 years old and I have a primary tooth between my front tooth and the #2. it protrudes infront the #2, which is still there but twisted behind it. the primary tooth is also shaking slightly. I’ve been to the dentist and i was told i might have to do an extraction. the dentist also gave me this explanation for my top row i hope you can understand. 432112234 the 1s are the two front teeth and they count in both directions as you can see, i have two #2s on the right one of them being the primary tooth… my smile is not one im very proud of so is there any advice you can give me in terms of getting it straightened out? thanks a mil!

Monday, October 19th, 2009
Q.
Dear Dr Caplan I am in my 50’s and would like to have my lower teeth straightened. I do have some gum recession. Would the recession prohibit me receiving this treatment and would the treatment be more likely to cause my teeth to loosen?
