I knocked my four front top teeth out approximately 6 months ago

I knocked my four front top out approximately 6 months ago during an epileptic fit and i have since been wearing dentures. Does the amount of time since the injury have any bearing as to whether implants are possible? Thank you for your time.

I had to go to the dentist to have my left upper baby canine tooth removed

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008
Q.
Here’s the problem. When I was 14 I had to go to the dentist to have my left upper baby canine tooth removed because it wouldnt’ come loose and the adult tooth was growing in behind it. This didn’t correct the problem because my adult tooth was almost all the way in. All my other teeth are in perfect position. It’s just this one tooth that is out of line. Instead of going over my bottom canine tooth my upper one goes behind it. It’s like it grew in at the perfect angle because it doesn’t cause any of my other teeth to crossbite at all. So what I’m wondering is, do I have to get this Canine tooth pulled and have an implant put in or are there other means by which this tooth can be put in it’s correct positioning? I can send you pictures if need be. Thanks so much for your insight!

I wear an upper denture at the moment and aged 31

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008
Q.
Hi there I wear an upper denture at the moment, and aged 31 this isnt ideal. I have looked into dental implants before but have been advised twice now that I have so little bone underneath the gum that I will need bone grafts taken from my hip. Im not too sure that I want bone taken from anywhere else and also the £40k price tag will also be an issue for me. I am at the stage now where I am not even leaving the house, and when Im taking the children to school, I dont even step out of the car. I am on anti-depressants longterm due to this also. It is significantly affecting my life and I’m investigating every area of hope at the moment. I already can feel how loose my denture has become recently and know I am on borrowed time with those, so really am desperate. Any advice you could give me would be fantastic. Many thanks x

I need 3 implants in my upper left quadrant

Thursday, November 27th, 2008
Q.
Hello Dr Glaister, I need 3 implants in my upper left quadrant following 2 failed bridges. I’m nervous about the treatment as my problem resulted from poor work of dentists. I’ve been quoted £5200 for 3 Imtec Endure implants in Antigua with a dentist who I believe is trustworthy. An alternative quote is £6500 for 3 Nobel Biocare in London. Can you give me any advice on the difference in systems and best value? Many thanks

What can be done for a man of 82 that has lost three crowns leaving just the roots at the top along with all my back teeth top and bottom. Twelve front teeth remain six at the top and six at the bottom. What procedures would you recommend in order to achieve a smile as shown here? Thanking you and best wishes

My husband one week ago had a 6 tooth bridge

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008
Q.
My husband one week ago had a 6 tooth bridge(front teeth) put in. There are gaps at the top of the teeth. He had bone disease due to an injury when he was young. Is there any thing that can be done, we are discussing a partial so he would not have the gaps when he smiles. He has a gummy smile and was very upset having 4 teeth pulled and two crowns and his top of his teeth look bad and he talks like he has a mouth gaurd in! Thank you for your help!

im due to have bridge work on my top set of teeth

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008
Q.
Im due to have bridge work on my top set of teeth. It will involve two crowns on my natural teeth, the problem that i have is will this be the best option for me? i would like something that will even my smile, as i have had this type of treatment before and it ended in re-bridging again due to teeth extractions, because of a re-occuring abcess.
