Tooth extraction which will cause a gap or smaller implants to fill gap?

Thursday, March 18th, 2010
Q.
Since child, I had this small tooth stuck in between my two front teeth, almost 7mm. I do not know what to do. Extracting will leave a big gap. I actually asked my dentist and she mentioned that we have to remove one of my front teeth and insert two smaller implants to fill the gap. What to do best?,

Should I get two implant or just have bridge done?

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010
Q.
I am a female, 21 years of age. I have a hereditary problem where I have missing permanent teeth under 6 of my deciduous teeth. Before my orthodontist put braces on me, he pulled out 6 of my deciduous teeth as through as X ray, he could tell that they were weak and the roots were not really firm/stable. 1 deciduous tooth was pulled out in the top right part of my mouth, and another 1 at the bottom right part of my mouth. Both of them are at the same location if you count from the mid line of my mouth. 2 other teeth were pulled out from the top left part of my mouth and another 2 right below it, on the lower jaw. My doctor told me that I have to get 2 implants put in on the upper and lower left side of the jaw (where 4 teeth were pulled out) as the gap cannot be closed by just braces. Well, technically it is possible but the midline would shift, causing my smile to be ugly. In conclusion, I want to know if it is worth investing so much money in the 2 implants. Should I just have a bridge done? My doctor says it will be a waste as the rest of my teeth are so perfect. What should I do? My braces will be off in July and I do not want to have the 2 gaps empty for long. Alternatively, would it be ok if I asked my doctor to close up the gap in the lower jaw and have an implant in the upper jaw? Would my teeth look weird? Please advice. Thanks a million.,

Anything be done about tooth decay due to prolonged breastfeeding?

Thursday, February 25th, 2010
Q.
My 3 year old son has decay which our dentist has said is due to prolonged night time breastfeeding. His front top teeth look terrible and the dentist has said our only options are extraction or leaving the teath to go black!. We feel that there must be an alternative that will not leave him facing horrible comments from other children. We do not have a great deal of money but would like to find out all our options. Thank you.,

Dentist has told me to get crowns but can I get teeth removed instead?

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010
Q.
I have an overbite and my only teeth that I dislike so much are my two front teeth. They are longer than all my other teeth and starting to overlap each other. I have consulted My dentist and he suggested I have them capped or crowned. What I would really like is to have them knocked out so I can have two new teeth that match the rest of my Teeth which are all in perfect condition. Would you have any other reccomendations as to how I can fix this problem?,
