Does Invisalign require removal of teeth like metal braces do?

Have been advised that metal braces to correct severe overcrowding in my son’s teeth would also involve taking out 4 teeth at least. Would this be the case with Invisalign? He has 4 wisdom teeth and 4 molars still to come through. Regards.,

Should I have my wisdom teeth extracted first before I have the brace treatment?

I’m 25 and I have a slightly crowded bottom teeth. My 2 upper jaw wisdom tooth are bad and going to be extracted soon. And I’m also having braces soon. which one should I do first? Tooth extraction then braces or the order doesn’t matter? Many thanks, Aida,

hi I dont know where to start have not been to a dentist for many years I have been looking at the photos of peoples problem teeth and none of them are as bad as mine .I have very ugly teeth top row stick out very much have two teeth missing and a tooth that is broken. my bottom row are crooked and overcrowded i am 46 and want to get married next year but i cant do it with these teeth i would love a nice smile for my wedding and photographs what would be the best treatment i am very confused with all the things you can have done now also i hace no bite and when i try to put my teeth together it hurts when i go to bed i have a pillow case in my mouth because my teeth closing makes my jaw ache . I hope there is something out there for me thankyou for your time.,

Hello sir, I am an 18 year old male with slightly crowded front teeth that protrude by just under 4mm. I have very short roots on my front teeth so have been advised against braces. I am studying drama at university in 2011 and hope to take it on as a career, and would really like to do something to improve the appearance of my teeth before then. I am aware that the results may not be perfect, but i was wondering if there was any alternative options that could even slightly improve the appearance of my teeth. If I undergo orthodontic treatment again will my molars have to be extracted?

I got an orthodontic treatment done when I was 10 for crowding of teeth and my 1st premolars were extracted. now I am 22 and my upper incisors are getting proclined, my upper 3rd molars are fully erupted and lowers are impacted. now if undergo treatment again, will my molars be extracted? As there is hardly any space between my teeth. Is it all right to get molars extracted for orthodontic treatment? will it not cause any other trouble (like tmj problem) ?,
