Does Invisalign require removal of teeth like metal braces do?

Q. Have been advised that metal braces to correct severe overcrowding in my son’s teeth would also involve taking out 4 teeth at least. Would this be the case with Invisalign? He has 4 wisdom teeth and 4 molars still to come through. Regards.,
A. If he is very crowded then space needs to be created whatever brace is subsequently fitted so yes the teeth may still need to be removed.
