I can see a considerable gap and my teeth are out of line what treatment do you recommend

Q.
Hi, I am now 22 and I still have a milk tooth. I believe it is a molar and it sits between my adult canines and molars. It is slightly offset from the line of my mother teeth and when I smile it just looks like a (considerable) gap. Due to this tooth my other teeth are slightly out of line, this is noticeable from my front teeth which have been pushed slightly to one side. On top of this I have an overbite/overjet (I’m not sure of the difference!), although my front teeth do not stick forwards at an angle as far as I can tell. I have also been told that my chin looks slightly further back than it should do from my profile. I have never had any form of orthodontic work done before so I don’t really have any idea what the necessary procedure would be to correct my teeth and how much it would cost. At 22 I would obviously like the treatment to be as quick and visually unobtrusive as possible, but I have no idea whether this is feasible. If you could give me an idea of the possible treatments, with timescales, that could be suitable and approximate costs that would be great. Thanks

After my wisdom teeth came in my top teeth became crowded should i go for braces

Friday, July 24th, 2009
Q.
With in the past 3-4 years my wisdom teeth have came in, started when I was 18(22 now)and have caused my bottom and now recently top teeth to crowd into each other. I have always had straight teeth and was wondering if I get these wisdom teeth removed will it “re-straighten” my teeth or is it too late? Should I just leave the wisdom teeth there since they are almost all out and get braces or just remove them and hope for the best? Thanks.

My teeth are drifted back so you know any one who offer invisalign in pembrokeshire area

Friday, July 24th, 2009
Q.
Hi! Just wondered if i could ask your advice please?! I had fixed braces twice when i was younger together with extractions. Unfortunatly, my teeth have drifted back gradually, particular my top front ones. I don’t want to have metal braces again and have read about Invisalign, Clearstop and Inman Aligners but i’ve no idea which, if any, would be suitable! Where do i start?! Is this something you could help me with? Living in Pembrokeshire may also be an issue as hardly any of these services are offered locally. Any information or advice would be gratefully received. Thank you.

Over the past 7 years the gfaps have come back and I am planing to get it done using invisalign but I am affraid that the gaps will come back after the treatment has finished what would you suggest??? I dont really have a high buget so 2500 is the highest I could go.

I face looks round wider and larger after my ear canal surgery Is this normal?

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009
Q.
I got my braces on in March 2008. I’ve noticed my face is now more rotund, wider and larger & my jaw is more pronounced. I’ve seen my primary physician & we’ve done tests & everything attributes to orthodontics. The side of my face between my cheek bone and ear has stretched out. I can feel my jaw bone in my ear canal-more so on my right side; whereas, prior my ear canal was normal & unobstructed. I feel stuffy in my ears at times. I look worse than before. I am 5’9″ & now my face should be on someone who is 7’0″ tall. I am a caricature now. Is this temporary? Why wouldn’t the orthodontist tell me my face will change during my consultation & during treatment & should I get another consultation from another orthodontist? I have been told that this may be an occlusal problem and my orthodontist should have been aware of this during my consultation and exam prior to treatment. I feel like my jaw is separating from my face. Please help 🙁

Orthodontist told me i need a jaw surgery and i need to know what it does? how much it cost

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009
Q.
I asked Dr.Julian the same question but i was wondering if maybe you would be able to answer it as well, maybe better since it sounds like you have had more experience in with jaws. okay well im 15 and i had braces for about 4 years. before i had them i had a bad gap and my teeth were completly crooked. After i got my braces off my teethe became straight and i did not have a gap anymore but the problem is i have a bad underbite and i have a jaw that jets out (long face shaped). My orthodontist told me that only way to fix it is to get jaw surgrey. I was wondering basically all about it, what it does? if i really should get it? how much it cost? -if you need more information or any questions for me please ask.

One of my tooth has edged its way out quite severely what are my options and whats the cost

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009
Q.
Hi there, I’ve always had pretty straight teeth, but over the years (I am now 27) one tooth (the one next to my main front one) has edged its way out quite severly. I did speak to a dentist about it, but he said that I couldn’t have a brace because all my other teeth have now shifted and there is not enough space for my wonky tooth to be pushed back into. I am really conscious about this one tooth that seems to be making a bid for freedom and I desperately want to look into what options I have to make it go back into place before it is pushed out of its space altogether. Is there anything that can be done? If so, if it an expensive and time consuming process? Many thanks in advance
