Hi there, I have always been very unhappy about my teeth and really wish I had got a brace when I was younger. My profile from the side id aful and I have been told I have a ‘narrow arch’ and that my over-bite is too big. Many dont see the issue with my teeth however it is something that I am really paranoid about. I know I could not afford cosmetic dentistry at this time and cannot seem to get accepted for any finance plans, Was just curious if you had any ideas? Thank you

Ive two missing incisors and can i just close the gaps and make my canines look like incisors

Friday, June 19th, 2009
Q.
Hey, im 15 and i have two missing incisors. Its next to my front ones and the canines. So i had braces in 7th grade january and i have spaces there and im moving the roots now. I looked at options until i get my implants and they don’t really look that great… Im kind of depressed and im wondering if this is the right choice for me. I am wondering if i just close the gaps and make my canines look like lateral incisors if that will be the better choice? I heard that i’ll probably need a root canal and a crown to do this? or is there a different option? its high school next year and im so depressed over this. i havent had a girl since 8th grade because the gaps got so big i look like im from tennesee. Please help me? Which is a better option? How long will it take to close the gaps anyway?

I currently have orthodontic braces fitted after the treatment would the gums push them back

Friday, June 19th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I’m fifteen years old and I currently have orthadontic braces fitted, I’ve had them on for a couple of months because my inscisors next to my two main front teeth never grew, I just never got an adult pair of them. The plan is that the braces will bring my canines into the place where these missing teeth are meant to be, and then they will be shaped to look more like inscisors. However, a friend of mine got a similar treatment done, and he said the problem was that the gum that had gathered between the teeth as they were pushed together, eventually pushed them apart again, even with wearing a retainer. Is it a possibility that my gum will push them apart again, and if so, what can I do about it? Thanks for your help.

im living in korea and my top teeth has moved forward due to my wisdom tooth can you advise

Friday, June 19th, 2009
Q.
Hi, i am living in korea and visited the dentist here in order to ask about my tooth, its one of my top lateral teeth that has moved forward and towards my front teeth. The dentist said it was due to my wisdom teeth coming in, although i have all my wisdom teeth now. ihe advised me that i could either get a crwon put on that one tooth to make it straight or get my wisdom teeth out!! would a crown look obvious that it was fake? or would my tooth maybe straighten back to where it was if my wisdom tooth was taken out? im not sure which to go for and the language barrier is not helping as we discuss it all through a translator who ddoes not know much english either!!! thank you

Is it possible to have invisible brace without the wisdom teeth fully grown out

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009
Q.
Dr Dr Moore I am thinking about getting invisible braces. I had braces when i was younger ( I am now 20) and i have recently noticed that one of my top wisdom teeth is coming out. Its not causing me any problems however I have noticed one of my teeth on my top front row has slightly moved on the side the wisdom tooth is growing through. Could this be related? I would like to straighten the tooth, it is possible to have the invisible brace without all the wisdom teeth fully grown out? Thank you for your time.
