Can the NHS pay for dental crowns needed because of medical causes?
Thursday, January 20th, 2011i have crohns disease, and had twelve inches of my intestine removed last may (07). Since then because of the effect the disease had on my relationship with my husband (he couldnt cope) my marriage has broken up and im on a low income with two children. I was extremely ill and in severe pain and distress for two years before i was diagnosised and almost lost my life a couple of times. About six of my top front teeth decayed badly (probably because of vomiting a dozen times a day. Know I am looking at a four figure dental bill for the crowns that i am having put in. (Dod’nt get me wrong, I worship my dentist for having nice teeth at last, but as I was so long undiagnosid can the nhs foot the bill? thankyou
I haven’t treated my teeth well and now they are in a bad way, can you offer some advise?
Tuesday, January 18th, 2011Hi,
I have SLE as I must admit that I have not treated my teeth as well as I should have due to my fear of dentists however now I feel that my teeth are getting really bad due to my condition and I am embarrased to go out, I have been to my dentist to get help, but what I want to know is can I get any reconstructive help on the NHS for gum repair and missing teeth or anything, I’m only 42 and I want to have the confidence to back out to work ( I am a qualified IT Operations Mgr) but since being made redundant 3yrs ago and applying for numerous roles I haven’t had the confidence to continue applying. I feel very depressed about this, I hope that you can give me some advice.
Many thanks

Can I have porcelain veneers fitted on my two front teeth, on the NHS?
Friday, January 14th, 2011 I’m under 18, and I have a gap between my two front teeth (incisors), and I don’t like it at all, I was considering getting porcelain veneers for just them two teeth, but can I get it for free?
Since I do not want braces at all, and I haven’t got the money to pay approximately £400 (for both teeth) to get a private dentist to do it.
I am unemployed and want braces, would i be able to get braces for free?
Friday, January 14th, 2011Hey Dr sunita
I use to live in holland had me braces when I turned sixteen my mum wanted to move to london I was worried about my teeth and if the UK had the same treatment in holland, by the years pass and I turned over 18 there was no chance for me to get my braces for free now I’m 21 insecure about my smile because I get bullied by people saying u have goofy teeth make me more unhappy about myself. At the moment I’m not working I’m on jsobseekers I’m was hoping if you could help me find a dentist that will do braces for free. Thank u so much
