I have a lot of gum and bone loss and need dentures, are there alternatives?

Q.
I have recently visisted my dentist, she has told me that i have a lot of gum loss and bone loss.
I have stopped smoking a while ago before i went to the dentist.
i am only 35 and she wants to give me dentures. what are my other options on the nhs. I am a single parent i do work so i could save up some money.

I cannot give you a professional opinion without seeing you and having access to xray records, to assess your bone levels. If you have severe gum disease and bone loss ( you would notice that your teeth are becoming loose)then having dentures may be one option for you. Implants may be another and you can read about these treatments furter on this site.
