I am missing three teeth, could I get a denture?

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011
Q.

Hi Justin,
I have 3 teeth missing on my bottom jaw both on the left and right, would dentures be an option as at the moment i feel depressed at the fact that if i smile people may see the big gap on both sides. Currently i have both front bottom and three either side – then the big gap! I can’t currently get into my dentists till Aug and i would like to know which options i have.
Many thanks for your help and advice.

Can I get Dental Implants on the NHS?

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011
Q.

Hi Andrew, I unfortunately had to have my second to front tooth removed in June last year as it had fractured and was not considered suitable to save. I wanted to have an implant immediately, but after xrays ti was found that I did not to have sufficient bone in the upper part of my gum to do this. I was advised to wait at least 6 – 12 months before proceeding. During this time I have been wearing a plate with a false tooth. This is very uncomfortable and despite using a fixitive it moves and irritates my palette, causing discomfort. I have had enough and really want an implant to give me back some confidence. I have no idea how i fractured my tooth in the first place, but it was covered with a veneeer, and i wondereed if this could have caused the fracture by weakening the tooth? I want the implant desperately but the cost is a huge factor, having already spent £2’500 on 4 veneers in the last few years I cannot afford to spend more! Could I get it done on the NHS as it is a visable tooth and is negatively affecting my self esteem?

My son broke his teeth in an accident, how can this best be rectified?

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011
Q.

My son (20yrs old) fell and hit his 2 front teeth and 1 tooth on the side of front teeth. The side tooth has truned black (they want to do rtc and crown. 1 front tooth got pushed back (blowed the socket) and has a crack up in the gum and broke about half of it off, but it is still white (they want to pull and put in a bridge). The other one is half broke off (they want to fill). This was done two days ago. I would like to know if there is any other solutions that would be better. Please let me know.

My teeth are loose because of gum disease, what should I do to replace them?

Monday, March 14th, 2011
Q.

Hi, I have gum disease but mostly in the front bottom whereby one tooth is very loose and apparently the gum has gone leaving the tooth with no support, the next tooth is also leaning due to limited support, therefore both teeth will have to be removed, would you recommend a bridge for the loose tooth or have the two done together with permenant teeth, thanks
