Should I correct my infants gappy teeth after an accident?

My 2.5 year old son has recently had an accident and lost two of his front teeth. Is there anything that can be done to bridge the gap until his permanent teeth come through? Many thanks.

In someone that young it’s not really necessary nor is it practical to carry out any complex dentistry. Best you wait until his new teeth come through but you can always get a second opinion from a child dentistry specialist…a paedodontist. Your dentist could refer you to one or you could try your local dental hospital for advice

I wore conventional train-track braces for 18 months in my teens, but was not provided with a retainer after they were removed, nor any form of adequate aftercare, so my teeth have once againcrowded. As I had two upper teeth removed to accommodate the straightenedteeth, I now also have gaps either side of the crowded front teeth, and this makes me very self-conscious.
