Q.
I have been using Crest Pro-Health mouthwash for a month. I have noticed bad brown stains on my teeth. Yesterday, I had Lumineers placed on top of my stained teeth, not realizing that Crest Pro-health was causing this problem until I read a blog of others having the same problem. I have also used this mouthwash, today, the day after getting my Lumineers. Is it going to stain the Lumineers,or is it okay to use with the lumineers? My concern is, since I have gotten Lumineers placed on top of the brown teeth instead of getting the stains removed first, will my real teeth become damaged underneath. What do you suggest I do? Also, please tell me how does the natural teeth underneath the lumineers stay healthy? I have been reading horror stories that Lumineers can cause smelly gums, halitosis, and gum disease…Is this true? How can you prevent these problems if you now have lumineers?

can you go to any dentist to get the lumineers cleaned or should i go to a cosmetic dentist?

Q.
Hi, Should you be able to see the margin where the lumineer stop underneath the gumline? If this shows, does that mean that it wasn’t properly placed, and what can be done about it? Crest Prohealth mouthwash has been known to brown the natural teeth, will it also brown or stain the lumineers, as well? Can a medium bristle toothbrush be used to brush your lumineers with, or will this damage them, making ridges in them or dulling the glaze on them? Lastly, can you go to any dentist to get the lumineers cleaned, although that dentist does not specialize nor place any lumineers on his patients, or would it be wiser to go to a cosmetic dentist who does lumineers? Please can you tell me an approx cost for lumineers. Per Tooth , and for 18 teeth ( the ones that show when I smile). I have just finished my invisilign course so my teeth are relitavely straight, but I have gaps where my gums have receded during pregnancy. Hi Dr,i would like to give my mother-in-law a surprise christmas gift.The top layer of her teeth has worn out and it’s cover now with yellowish color and she also had a gold crown done by in- experienced person. she than took it out and half of her tooth went with it.Is there any chance she can gain her confidence back.I was thinking of lumineers for her.

I need a smile makeover for an album which I’m recording…when singing people look at your mouth alot and one of my front upper teeth is yellow i.e dead but in the right place! My open mouth smile is quite concave however, I cannot afford veneers or illumineers-I’m wondering if I can get them done cheaper in Europe or whether you could recommend a solution i.e fewer veneers that wouldn’t comprmise the final aesthetic look

Q.
I need to replace two vaniers on my front teeth, as they’ve been in-place for over 20 years, and are blackening around the top edges where the bonding material was used orginally. However they are slightly prominent compared to my other teeth as the stand farer forward, than my other teeth, would this be due to old technology and would ne ones be much thinner or would I have to have all the front ones vaneered. I would also like to have Lunineers fitted on my teeth as a couple of my bottom teeth are starting to chip as they are warning away – no major chips just small ones on the edges, would the luminars strengthen my teeth stoping further chips and if so how long do they last?
