What is the cheapest and fastest way to correct overcrowding?

Q.
Hi, what is the cheapest and fastest way to correct overcrowding of upper teeth in a 34yr old female? What options are available? What is the implication of leaving an impacted wisdom tooth which is not painful? Thanks

I have crowded teeth is inman aligner better than invisaling?

Hello, My two front teeth overlap slightly and I have been told previously that invisalign would work. However I have recently heard about the inman aligner which works much faster and is not as expensive – would it straighten my two front teeth?

Does Invisalign have to move all your teeth even if you do not want a particular tooth moved?

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
Hi Dr. Rob Tennet, My left bunny tooth is a crown and the original bunny tooth was aligned correctly. However, the crown is not and I am planning to replace the crown after Invisalign treatment. I also do not want the Invisalign to move the crown to prevent it from becoming loose. (1) Does Invisalign have to move all your teeth even if you do not want a particular tooth moved? (2) If you see that your Invisalign trays are purposely moving your crown and the post breaks, should your dentist be responsible? Thank you for your time. I greatly appreciate it.

I’ve been looking at the possibilities of having a bridge or an implant, but ideally i’d like to save the tooth that i have already.

Q.
I had a fixed appliance for 3 and half years to correct a number of issues, the biggest of which was an unerrupted upper left 3. The canine was brought into place and then i had a retainer to wear to keep everything in place. I stopped wearing the retainer after 2 years, and very gradually, the canine has been slipping backwards. Its starting to become irritating, not just athetically but also its infringing on the space that my tongue would normally occupy. What would be the best way to correct this problem? I’ve been looking at the possibilities of having a bridge or an implant, but ideally i’d like to save the tooth that i have already. Is there anyway of not having to have another fixed appliance?

I dont want to have braces when Im going to college

Sunday, March 29th, 2009
Q.
I’m 15 years old and was told by my orthodontist this week that I’d need braces. The problems with my teeth which he stated in a letter were: (1) There’s a deep filling in the upper right 1st molar, this will need to be closely monitired. If it causes a problem it may need to be extracted or have root canal treatment. (2) There’s severe lower crowding and severe upper crowding (3) The upper front teeth are 3mm ahead of the lower front teeth (2-4mm is normal) (4) Upper and lower front teeth overlap excessively, a deep bite (5) Upper front teeth are left of center (6) Lower front teeth are right of center with the jaw relaxed (7) The molars are biting behind their ideal position He said I’d need to wear the braces for 2 years and a retainer after this. That’s my main problem as I’m half way through my second last year of school this would mean I’d still have the braces on when I’m goin to college and I have never liked the look of braces at all. Along with this treatment he say’s I first have to have four teeth removed (upper first premolars right and left, lower second premolars right and left). Would I be suitable for invisalign and if so how much in Ireland would it cost, how long would treatment take??? Thanks

Eye (canine) tooth has moved after removal of braces

Sunday, March 29th, 2009
Q.
Hi I wore train tracks when I was a teenager but one of my eye teeth has gone crooked again. I was interested in the Inman Aligner but read on their website that the eye tooth is particularly difficult to move with removable braces? Is this true? I wore Invisalign for a year and this did not straighten the tooth. Also if I decided to go with 6 month braces which would you recommend: the clear or the metal braces and why? Thank you
