My teeth are moving out of position again after i had braces, what do you suggest I should do?

Monday, April 19th, 2010
Q.
I used to wear braces back when i was may be 15 or 16, after removing them i was told to wear retainers, i only put them on for a couple of months then on and off for a month or so. now my teeth are starting to move back gradually. one tooth on the lower line is crooked and the top teeth are movving forward. im 18 now and im scared that if i dont sort them out it will get worse. Another thing is that im a student now at university so i dont want to bee seen wearing braces but also i dont have much money to spend. can you give ma any advise and maybe a rough idea how much it will cost to have some kind of treatment to sort this problem out. Thank you very much!,

I have a squint bite invisalign or other brace treatment fix this?

Friday, April 9th, 2010
Q.
I have a squint bite that means my chin goes off to one side when I close my teeth. This is also starting to cause me pain as when my jaws are shut some teeth push against each other further displacing each other. I have attended the dental hospital in Glasgow but I was told that I would need an operation to break my jaw then reset then possibly take bone from somewhere else to put into my jaw. As you can imagine this was all very scary stuff however it is a teaching hospital so I think they maybe looking at the most extreme course of action. Surely braces or invisalign treatment would be possible. I do not have much money so going private is probably not possible. Can you tell me what I could be covered for by the NHS and also where else I could seek treatment other than the dental hospital? Thanks,

Would removable braces be the best option for my son?

Monday, March 29th, 2010
Q.
HI My 15 year old son has an overbite – his upper teeth cover his lower teeth when he puts teeth together. His orthodontist says he needs fixed braces. Can removal braces do the job just as well .Reason we ask he is a proficient cornet and trumpet player in brass and jasss bands and in middle of his grades and some European tours. We have been told you cant play the same with fixed braces as it would damage his gums but removal braces may be the answer. any advice?,

Can my teeth be straightened without braces?

Monday, January 4th, 2010
Q.
Oh my i cannot believe i am actually doing this as i am petrified of dentists and have had numerous bad experiences!!! But here goes…i am 35yrs old and when i was younger i had many teeth out due to over crowding and what a nightmare (one i will never forget or have forgot) anyway i had to wear braces for a long time and when they came out was never offered a retainer (didn’t even know about them). My teeth are crooked and i would love to have a beautiful smile as i feel ugly because of my teeth and always smile with my mouth closed, i have had consultations where i have been told i should have braces and i have a slight over bite. I don’t know which way to turn and really can’t face wearing braces again. I really don’t know which way to turn and dream of having a lovely smile. Any advice would be grateful…Please and thankyou.,

Is it possible to get my retainers redone again?

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009
Q.
Hi, I had invisalign done when I living in America, about 2 years ago. But recently I have lost my retainer and I was wondering how much would that be to just have the retainer made again as I still need it for the top and bottom? Is it possible to have just the retainer done? Regards
