Q. HI My 15 year old son has an overbite – his upper teeth cover his lower teeth when he puts teeth together. His orthodontist says he needs fixed braces. Can removal braces do the job just as well .Reason we ask he is a proficient cornet and trumpet player in brass and jasss bands and in middle of his grades and some European tours. We have been told you cant play the same with fixed braces as it would damage his gums but removal braces may be the answer. any advice?,
