Hiya, I’m 14 and have just been advised to get braces :(. I have a huge overbite due to sucking my thumb at an early age and I really hate it. I’m really interested in getting my teeth straightened, have deneers and having my teeth whitened. Will I be able to get this treatment at my age and how much will it cost? Thanks.

What are the options besides braces for closing the gap?

I’m 15 years old, and have a gap between my two front teeth. Lots of my friends have recieved braces, but I was never offered, and I heard something about once your 16, you have to pay for them. I wondered what my options – besides braces – were for closing the gap, within a resonable price range.

Can a spring retainers fix a small gap in my front teeth

Hi, I had braces about 5 years ago and have recently started to notice some movement. A small gap (0.5mm- 1mm) has developed between the front upper two teeth. All other teeth are fine. Could this gap be closed and then maintained by getting a retainer made? i have heard a spring retainer can be used without the need for fixed braces? what would the cost be for this? Many thanks

How much would it cost to have a bridge to fill in two gaps

I’m asking on behalf of a friend how much he could expect to pay for bridges to fill in two gaps at the front of his teeth. the two top teeth either side of the main two front ones are only baby teeth and he has kept them in to prevent gaps after braces, but they are naturally a lot shorter and hinder his smile aswell as not being as stable as an adult tooth

There is a small gap between my crowns should it need to be replaced

Dear Dr. Moore, ten years ago I had RCT done for two of my teeth (left upper – 10, 11, i think) they were crowned in nice tooth colored crowns (matched my teeth color exactly)…now there was a small gap that appeared in between one of these crowns and another natural tooth so food impaction resulted , i needed a gum cleaning last week. Now doctor says he has to replace the crown as the space has to be closed. He also suggested gingivoplasty before the new crown is placed. I am also concerned about the new crown not being of the same color as my tooth. Can you please advise ?

Dear Dr Glaiser Six years ago I wore braces to separate out two front teeth that were overlapping. This worked (up to a point) but now you can fly a Zeppelin between my lower and upper teeth. Is there any way this could be corrected? Thank you

What are the options to fill teeth gap and how much do they cost?

Hi Justin I have just had emergency nhs dental treatment after breaking my insisor tooth which had to be extracted. The site was immediately alongside a previous extraction of an insisor near to the front right side of my mouth. I now have a sizeable gap which is seriously affecting my confidence as I now feel unable to smile properly and am having considerable trouble speaking properly as my tongue is protruding through the gap when i speak causing to lisp. I am on the nhs waiting list but don’t feel that i can wait forever to get this problem sorted. Please can you tell what my options are and approximate costs of getting the gap closed at a private dentist. I live in Pembrokeshire but would be prepared to travel if necessary. Thank you very much
