Can I get overlapping front teeth fixed without removing teeth?

Monday, February 15th, 2010
Q.
Hi – my 2 upper fron teeth cross over and I would be interested in getting them straightened. I have never had any teeth removed and still have my wisdom teeth. I am 46. Can this be done without having any teeth removed? And would it be a lifelong correction? My lower teeth are also crooked but I am not so concerned about this. I am a regular visitor to the Dentist and Hygienist & otherwise have good teeth and gums. Thank You for your advice. c,

Can braces help to fix fangs but do not want fixed braces?

Friday, February 12th, 2010
Q.
Hi, I have crooked teeth at the top. I have fangs that have grown down and have pushed my two teeth next to my front teeth back. The fangs are through however my top teeth are very crowded. I’m looking for the cheapest option to straighten my front teeth. I dont want to have metal braces however I would be interested in cosmetic dentistry or invisalign braces. I would be looking for the quickest and ideally the cheapest option available to me. Many thanks,

Braces available through NHS

Thursday, January 7th, 2010
Q.
I am getting braces and was wondering what was available colour-wise from the NHS. They have all ready booked a date and so I am certain I can get them on the NHS but are ceramic/clear braces available for free? If not, which colours would I be able to choose from or do they not give you that choice? Thanks,

Is damon system the only option for crowding of the upper teeth advice?

Friday, December 18th, 2009
Q.
My daughter who is 11 had been told she was eligible for NHS treatment for orthodontic work. She has a very small mouth, crowding of the upper teeth her eye teeth are impacted and she also has a slight overbite. We have been for a follow up appointment and the orthodontist has recommended she have the Damon System fitted to widen her jaw along with a functional brace to correct her overbite. All this sounds fabulous but at a cost of £3,500. My orthodontist has said she would not receive the Damon System on the NHS but is there another form of treatment available which would be covered by the NHS but would also widen her jaw and correct her overbite? Many thanks

Uneven shaped teeth needs to be analysed for the correct treatment.

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009
Q.
Between the ages of 17 – 19 I had traditional braces. I am now 29 and find that my teeth have relapsed over time as my dentist warned they might. I wear a nightly retainer (which is a replacement if one I had and broke) but my teeth aren’t as they were when I first had my brace removed. The main issues are: a small ‘Madonnaesque’ gap between my front two teeth and the teeth wither side of those are rather short. I was wondering between veneers, invisalign and lumineers what I could consider to correct the problem. I want something that will completely close the gap without too much damage to my teeth which are white and in very good condition.
