Dear Mark. I have 2 post crowns on the upper right 1 and 2. The 2 crowns have dropped and they are now longer than the rest of my teeth. They have been like this for a little while. As far as I know there is no reason for them to have dropped. There is no movement of the crowns they have just dropped. I am very conscious of it and try not to smile as much. Can the crowns be filed down so they are the same length as the rest of my teeth or will I have to get replacements? If so, would I need to have new posts as well? I have been to the dentist who took X-rays and he said that they are fine and ‘well stuck in’. He gave me no help what so ever, he just wanted to get the next patient in. Any information you could give me would be gratefully received. Thanks.

Monday, January 27th, 2014 Hi. Just over 2 years ago I had a smile makeover at my local dentist. This involved teeth whitening first and then 6 upper veneers and 3 lower. I had to have root canal on 3 or 4 of the teeth because my dentist advised me they had to file the original tooth close to the nerve.
After 2 years I have noticed 2 have started to go black. In my opinion it’s the tooth behind that is black and it is starting to show through the veneers making the veneer seem darker than the others.
I have been to see my dentist and she advises nothing is wrong and the only thing she could do if I was still worried would be to drill the veneers off and smear white cement over the original tooth and replace with a new veneer at my expense of course!
Is this a common problem and how can it be resolved?
Do teeth tend to go black once root canal has occurred?

My two front teeth are crowns but all the teeth around them are yellow and they are starting to get holes in the them. I’ve just registered with an NHS dentist and was just wondering how much it would cost to get 10 teeth replaced at the top. With nice white one s and 9 at the bottom. This problem has seriously knocked my confidence and I can’t talk to people with out covering my mouth. All in all I need help and I need it fast I can’t live like this no more

Friday, September 14th, 2012Hello..My teeth are inclined outwards. Though it doesnt look bad if not for the midline diastema. Does crowning help in pushing the teeth inwards? I also want to get rid of midline diastema. Please advice..My dentist has advised me to go for crowning.Iam very much confused as I dont have the time for putting on braces.I want a good response but in a short time. If only crowning could help.Also want to know can I leave the teeth as it is only after some grinding without crowning..will dat not be ok? Thanks

I currently do not have a dentist and have a chipped front tooth I was also previously told that i will need a bridge as my 2 bottom front teeth will need to be removed due to my gums receding to far. I am a 29 yr old woman and this is causing me a lot of pain and self consciousness. I need to find a cosmetic dentist who can offer me the treatment I need and have rea a lot about yours. Monday, September 10th, 2012hi there, I am considering receiving vaneers but i have receding gums due to a gum infection i had. i am unsure if vaneers are even right for me and if this could be sorted out by a less painfull process, what do you think? my gums have receded to quite far down on my bottom jaw. everywhere else is healthy i think. but the bit at the front (at the bottom) is not the same at all. two of my front bottom teeth are very slightly loose feeling. i do not know if it is just my imagination. all i want to do is to regain my usual smile. please help me. thanks.

I have recently lost my front tooth, the root is still intact, I was wondering if I would have to remove the root to get a dental implant fitted, or is there a technique where you can use the root as a base.
