Are dentures or implants best option for missing teeth?

Thursday, January 7th, 2010
Q.
Dr Tennet, I have a close family relative who has already had most bottom molars removed and two at the top (I think). My cousin is now still experiencing pain and has three obvious infections where the teeth are basically beyond repairable. Obviously this is down to lack of oral health but he has pains throughout the whole of is teeth even the front set. If for example thinking about removing them all, what would be the best course of treatment to take. For example if taking them out is it wise to replace with dentures or would implants be the better option. How much would a full restoration of teeth cost? (all teeth replaced),

is cosmetic dentures different from just regular dentures

Monday, January 4th, 2010
Q.
is cosmetic dentures different from just regular dentures you get from the dentist? coz im not rich, i rely solely on my state insurance to pay for my dental needs and I recently had ALL of my teeth pulled, due to decay and abscesses. Im still waiting to get dentures made by my dentist and Im curious to know if Ill look better, like a photo of a before and after woman i saw here on this page. So question is. Are dentures made by regular dental providers as beautiful as the ones you guys make?,

Im worried that I wont get my natural look of my dentures advice

Monday, December 21st, 2009
Q.
I am currently at the final stage of having dental implants – two implants on either side of a bridge for three missing top front teeth plus a crown for a fourth beside these.I have therefore been wearing a temp.crown and a partial denture for several months. My denture was based on an impression of my original teeth, looks natural and is almost identical to my own teeth.I was delighted with this and expected as good a result with my new permanent teeth. I had my first fitting and although these fill the space they look nothing like my original teeth. My dentist sent these back for adjustment but I am worried that I won’t achieve the natural look of my denture as each set of teeth was based on a different impression. Is it possible to combine impressions so that my permanent teeth look the same as my denture? Sorry this is so long winded. Your opinion would be very much appreciated. Thanks
