Is it illegal for a non-dentist to carry out laser tooth whitening?

I have been researching tooth whitening online and am a little confused! If it is illegal for anyone not qualified as a dentist to carry out tooth whitening procedures, how is it that so many beauty salons offer laser tooth whitening? I have also found courses available to non dentists offering traing in laser tooth whitening? So is it illegal for a non dentist to carry out these procedures or not?,

hi there please can you point me in the right direction my terrified of the dentist and always have been iv been to the dentist a couple of times but now im desperate to feel like i can smile again my teeth are missin at the top and at the bottom iv got 4 just on the bottom im very embarrassed about this and dont go out at all. please can you help me im on benefits aswell so dont no what to do as i have a lot of work that needs to be done thanks,

Hello Dr Moore, My dentist and hygenist have both told me I have receeding gums, and I’ve noticed, particularly in the last year, how the gaps at the top of my upper teeth appear much darker as if I’ve got bits of food in them. Hi, my 4 and a half year old daughter had a flare up of gingivitus in june and suffers from oral herpes. the dentist at the time told us to use corsodyl. this has stained her teeth considerably but she does not want the dentist to clean them as she has been through alot. Can you advise what is the best thing i can do to restore some of the whiteness back and get rid of some stains. thanks,

Can you suggest a treatment that can move my teeth back into place as quickly as possible?

Hi Dr Solanki, I am getting married in November and I had braces approx 4 years ago, but after having specifically requested from my dentist a wire to be attached to the back of my teeth, my dentist refused and told me a retainer was much more effective. Unfortunately I did not wear my retainer as I should have as I was in a customer facing job so my teeth have moved slightly – and mainly the front 2 which is really bothering me. I am wondering if there is any way of having a plate or similiar constructed to push the teeth back into place, it really is quite minor as when I put my retainer back it only has about 3mm gap from stopping it clicking back into place. Can you please suggest any methods that would assist before November other than veneers? Many thanks,
